Hetherington Glade Scottish Highland Fold is located in the peaceful rural 
settlement of Reporoa, New Zealand. We are situated half way between Rotorua and Taupo, settled amongst the volcanic beauty that is the Central Plateau of the North Island.
We are a family venture made up of Pam and Roy, Gary and Leonie, Carl and Lisa along with our children - Georgha, Jazmine, Jack, Corey and Daniel.
What began as a small family hobby has rapidly turned into an absolute passion for these wonderful hairy beasties!
Over three years our fold has grown from a small operation to a Stud Fold, breeding quality animals for the lifestyle market. We also run a Highland Beef operation whereby any male calves that don't make 'cut' are steered for beef. All our calves are sold 'brush friendly' to lifestylers who are looking to start their own fold, or simply have a lovely pet or two in their paddocks.
We have two outstanding Stud Highland Bulls, and who have sired outstanding progeny during their time with us. Our breeding animals are varied in colour ranging from white through to black, with varied pedigrees allowing us diversity within our breeding program. We also source outside bulls that must be of exceptional quality, and use artificial insemination as well.
We at Hetherington Glade are fortunate that we have had a wonderful start - with great support from our peers. Special thanks to Tighmor Hill Country Highlands for supplying us with the majority of our wonderful foundation females. Carole and Angus and team have given us such fantastic support, and we have found them to be such an inspiration on all levels! We get great pleasure out of these quiet, hairy animals and so wish to share this with others.
