Hermetic Order of the Round Table

Hermetic Order of the Round Table, Inc. was founded in 2005 by Jeff Rhoades.  It's purpose is to accelerate both personal and global transformation.

Mr. Rhoades was initiated into Wicca in 1997 and has studied metaphysical techniques from many different practitioners.  Some of the other systems he has studied include Spiritual Alchemy, Shamanism, Druidry, Runes, and Kabala.  Jeff is a practicing Ritual Magician, Reiki Master, and author.  He has published one book on Rune Magick with others to follow on this and other metaphysical systems.  He believes that the world around and the psyche are intimately linked to one another, and that Ritual Magick, Yoga, and other Metaphysical systems can greatly improve personal health and enhance the quality of life.  He teaches that these practices can lead to a more peaceful, happy, and healthy life, while also increasing longevity.

In Celtic Mythology, Arthur’s gathering of the Knights of the Round Table symbolizes the work the conscious mind does to gather resources buried within the subconscious. This is the Great Work of Spiritual Alchemy, and the completion of this is the state called Transcendence. This is the spiritual work of our order. The physical world is simply solidified spiritual energy. Thus, becoming a balanced person paves the way for making a balanced world, where all are treated equally. This path is taught in different ways in all religions, and is thus the means through which each can be united in understanding. This is the physical work of our order.

Degrees are earned by self-initiation through the rituals taught in the courses offered by the order.  These degrees serve as markers for students and teachers to keep track of their progress along the paths of spiritual transformation.  Certification is available upon request, but is not necessary to legitimately claim a degree.  All that is necessary is that the student demonstrate sufficient understanding and characteristics of the degree in question.

All communities whether web based or physical have rules in place to keep them secure.  Ours is no different.  All members must agree to follow the rules of the Order.  These are fairly basic and are in place to help insure that our members are allowed to live their lives in peace, without suffering the scrutiny of those who may not understand their chosen path(s).  Our rules can be found here.

In the physical world, we seek to bring peace to all and end conflict. We work to heal sickness, pain, anger, and depression, replacing these with health, peace of mind, love, and happiness, thereby bringing the world closer to harmony as well as helping individuals. Our methods for doing this include giving metaphysical and other basic advice that teaches people how to live holistically, and the use of metaphysical rituals.

Membership is strictly on an at-will basis. Benefits of membership include the chance to communicate and meet with others who are of like mind, and the ability to participate in group rituals.
