Brief History of Henz
Info: Current Age: 19 Current Residence: Riverside California Gender: Female
I was born in Redlands California, and spent most of my life in a small growing city called Moreno Valley. I lived mostly in the middle of nowhere surrounded by many animals. Many came and went while I was growing up. During my Junior year of high school I had to move to Louisiana to live with my grandmother in Shreveport. There I graduated high school with decent grades. That summer I moved back to California and lived with another Grandmother in Riverside. Later that summer we moved into a new house, and there is where my current residences lie.
About Me
I'm a quiet person with a small group of really close friends, I really
don't care about popularity at all. In school I actually detested the
popular kids, probably because I thought they had huge egos... which
they most likely did. It just kinda annoyed me that they looked down on
homely people like me, thinking they were gods of the universe.
I am really glad I was born and turned out the way I am instead of
growing up as a snotty ego maniac. I wonder where an attitude like that
will make you end up in life?
Well, actually, social-wise I am glad I wasn't popular. But, if my art
was at all popular, I'd love to make a some kind of career out of it.
Life
I live with my mom, dad, two brothers, two stupid dogs and two cats.
Everyone else seems to be moving on with their lives and I wish I could
do the same.
Hopes
I hope to one day become an animator, or at least an illustrator for
a comic company or something. drawing is my passion and I hope to one
day make it into the whole art and animation field. I would love to sit
back and tell my kids one day that I was one of the people that helped
animate one of their favorite childhood movies.
About my Art
My artwork... well, I love to design creatures the
most although I draw humans sometimes. My creatures range from
beautiful dragons to creepy nightmarish monsters. I love to draw all
kinds of stuff... but I'm rather out of practice with cutesy things.
Theres just a sample of my artwork... its not really that spiffy. I
mostly use pens and pencil to make lineart and color it using a
computer program called Photoshop. I use traditional mediums as well,
but recently, I haven't been able to get ahold of any, so I'm way out
of practice. Its kinda depressing.
Anyway, I have been drawing since I was very young... I remember one of
the first things I drew were lizard heads on the side of a lined piece
of paper saying "On" and "No" those were the only things I could spell
back then. My mom was so proud and hung on to it, god only knows where
its ended up now.
At an older age I actually began making up my own monsters and
animals, I even began to make my own little book series about them. One
of them I remember quite clearly, and actually still possess them to
this day is called "Lazy Lizard" a series of short pictures stapled
together about an iguana with a bird and a snake for friends. It was
really cute, and I may post some pictures if I can get ahold of them
again.
Later on I moved onto more complex designs and began making
comics, and from there I got better and better, and well... the image
featured above is one of my most current pieces to date.
I strive to improve, and I have many more years ahead of me... so practice makes perfect right?
