Llanidan Peaches 'N' Cream was bought by myself and my father at the 2007 Royal Welsh Cob Sales. Before the sales I saved up so that i would be able to afford a good quality filly. I was very tempted by a number of the fillys but the particular filly that had captured my interest in the catalogue was Lot 823, Llanidan Purdie, she was described as a Silver dun, just what I was looking for so i resisted temptation on the whole of the friday, most of the saturday (only bidding on a few to my set limits) until the saturday night when we went to see if the Llanidan foals had arrived and they had! My mother and I met Mr Jones outside as he was just settling them for the night. They had just been rugged for the night so we could only see their pretty faces, Purdie has a lovely face and I paid her more attention, but my mum had already noticed that Peach was more the filly for us. The next morning I went down early while it was still quiet and admired the foals again. They were both eating happily. I returned to the lorry to help my mum make the sandwhiches and then we returned to the stables and went through the other stables admiring a number of other cobs and ponies. We went down to the ring and got some seats, then my dad rang to say he had arrived (it was his first time at the sales) so my mum went to collect him from the horsebox park ..... to be continued
