Well, once again the winter months are coming. And as I'm sure you've guessed, that means it's gonna get cold - even in the middle east where our troops are right now. The temperatures will reach below freezing in the months to come, and our soldiers need to stay warm. Any and all warm items are welcomed!!! Some suggestions are:
- Heat packs or compacts (not electric & should be a good size to travel with)
- Extra socks
- Gloves (Tough, not cute and fuzzy please!)
- Blankets
- Undershirts
- Hats (Please be aware of the approved color for whatever service branch you send to.)
- Coffee/ Tea/ Hot Chocolate Mixes
* For any other suggestions, please visit the "What to Send" page. Also, if you have a suggestion that you don't see posted on this site, please let me know at mcd_production@yahoo.com so I can add it. Thank you! |

Please be aware that this website is niether for the war nor against it. It is not intended to make any sort of political or religious statement. It is not democratic or republican. This website is simply intended to help our servicemen and servicewomen who are fighting for OUR security and OUR freedom.
"Politics aside, it is our soldiers who pay for our freedom to argue about this war, and the war is not over for them." - quote from www.AnySoldier.com

See the postings from the soldiers themselves on www.AnySoldier.com and read at least some of the success stories and correspondence on both websites. Then you be the judge of the impact one single thing you do (no matter how small and simple it is) can mean to somebody else.

Even if you only have five minutes to write a letter saying "hello, I support you" - those five minutes of your time could mean the world to whoever receives the letter. In fact, according to Marine Capt Jon Connolly, "most of all, letters from Americans that care about us are the real treat."
Care packages are also a wonderful show of support. I'm sure everyone out there has at least a handful of miscellaneous samples, whether from hotel stays or special store promotions. Use them to make a care package for our brave soldiers! It's as simple as that.
*(Plus, it'll give you a reason to actually get to cleaning that hall closet!)* |

Many people have been writing in this guestbook and/or sending me
e-mails wondering where to get addresses to send things to our
soldiers. First, let me say that I always
write back to the people to let them know where to find an address to
send things to. I am obviously an avid supporter of our troops,
and I find it inspiring how many people feel the same way. The
whole point of my creating this site was to let people know how they
can support our troops and why they should. Now, to answer this question for everyone else out there... visit the AnySoldier.com website, and go to their "Where To Send" page.
This page gives you recent postings from the soldiers themselves, along
with an address to send letters and care packages to their
troops. You can select the troops by service branch, where they
are, who they deal with, etc. This is one of the best places to
visit to find addresses for our troops overseas. There are other
sites to visit for this information, though, so please be sure to visit
my "Other links to check out" box at the bottom of the page.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank You!
Many companies are donating items to such causes. Any & every donated sample sized packet is extremely appreciated and I'm sure will go a very long way for these kids and their morale.
11-29-04 - I was away for the holiday weekend to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. I came home to a big box packed full of Stretch Island Fruit Leather! A generous donation by another amazing company. Thank you for supporting our troops! And I'm thrilled to say that this donation arrived just in time to be included in holiday packages! I'm stuffing two boxes full of goodies right now to send out tomorrow on my lunch hour. Your caring should be commended. Readers, please return the favor by looking at their product at www.stretchislandfruit.com.
10-23-04 -> I have just received FOUR stuffed full boxes of BodiHeat Packs for our troops! I'm sure this will be amazingly appreciated by our soldiers since it is starting to get quite chilly over there. These heat packs are small, light-weight and long lasting. Thank you, OKAMOTO U.S.A., INC. for so generously supporting our brave heroes over seas with your donation. Readers, please return the favor by checking them out at their website www.beyondbodiheat.com or www.okamotousa.com.
8-4-04 -> I am in reciept of a HUGE box full of Habaneros of Texas Hot Sauce sample packets! Thank you for going that extra step to support our soldiers! I am already stuffing my care packages with your hot sauce, so they will be on their way to different units shortly.
