                          Zambian Orphans Appeal

The Zambian Orphans Appeal (ZOA) is a charity established by Kevin Gilbert, a former volunteer teacher in Zambia. A number of schools worldwide are participating in the project: St. George's British International School (Rome); Aquinas College (Melbourne); Peebles High School (Peebles); Cleeve School (Cheltenham); and St Peter's School (Lisbon). In the UK, the 'Serenje Orphans Appeal' (SOA), which has UK Charity Commission status (number:1127234), also supports our efforts.

 Our Goals:

  • To raise awareness about the orphan problem
  • To complete the construction of the Serenje Orphanage which includes: dormitories; a canteen; a classroom; a guest house
  • To raise 16000 euros by the end of each calendar year to meet the running costs of the orphanage
