  • Listening Around the Table.

Mom, do you remember the joy, excitement and love you felt when your child was first born?  When he/she was placed in your love filled-arms, at that very moment, in an instant, a nano-second, your life changed forever; it is in deed a time you will forever cherish. At that moment you were ready to nourish and shower your new baby with all your love.

And then you made plans. Do you remember the plans that you had and perhaps still have for your child(ren); plans to help them to prosper; plans to help them succeed?

You knew and began to form a plan as to how you would make this happen; this plan is a path built on a solid foundation that includes reading to your child(ren); spending important time on your knees teaching them the importance of speaking to God and praying on their behalf.  Speaking their name to God to let your child(ren) know just how much God loves them and through His love you're able to show them how much you truly love and care for them.

Listening is also imperative in your relationship with your child(ren).  Children need and long to be heard; to share their journeys with you, Mom, which is imperative to their growth and their prosperity.

Maybe your child has a story he/she longs to share with you.  So, it's time to gather around the table, to share those special moments, like when your newborn was placed in your arms.  Don't forget how you felt when you first saw your baby; you were overjoyed, beaming with love; you'll always remember how that made you feel, Mom; now it's time for you to make your child(ren) feel the way you felt on the day of their birth; special, loved and wanted!
