"The Sound Of Lucifer Storming Heaven" will finally be heard on November 19, 2007.

It will be released from the German label Dockyard 1.

Followers of the dreamlord rejoice. The time is approaching for "Communion". The Greek demons SEPTICFLESH (now in one word) are back with a new album on Season of Mist, containing 9 gates to unearthly dreams and nightmares. The "rituals" of "Communion" took place in the famous Studio Fredman in Sweden. The massive heavy guitar sound of the album is supported by a haunting triumphant orchestration that surpasses every past attempt of the band on that field. The classical arrangements are composed and directed by Chris Antoniou (guitarist) and performed by the 80 part full orchestra and 32 part choir of philharmonic orchestra of Prague. As a result the music besides being brutal is also very "visual", like the soundtrack of an occult movie projected straight to your mind. Concerning the vocals, Seth is growling as a hellish beast in contrast with the melodic, yet intense and emotive vocals of Sotiris V. This album is definitely the more dark, brutal and at the same time avant-garde release of the band to date, crossing the borders of Death and Black metal. Yes, this album is not recommended to people resonating with holy ideals and bright emotions.

On March 17th, 2008 and March 25th, 2008 in the US the gates will open for the public and you will have the chance to join "Communion" and experience the emotions that come from songs like "Lovecraft's Death", "Anubis", "Babel's Gate", "Persepolis".

Pulverised Records has announced the signing of the "unholy black metal" band BURIAL HORDES from Greece. According to a press release, "this filthy black metal creature was spawned in 2001 and had since released several demos and a promotional CD with their blend of fast attack and uncompromising black metal." Previously signed to Australia's Asphyxiate Recordings for a full-length album, the group is expected to release a new effort sometime next year.

SICKENING HORROR have announced the addition of drummer Yannis Theodorakis to the group's ranks. "Yannis is a very talented musician and a great guy and has contributed some fantastic stuff to our songs, present and future," the band writes in a statement. "He combines speed and groove in a very unique way. The rehearsals are devastating so far and we can't wait for our first gig!"

The demonic extreme symphonic black metallers Unholy Ritual has inked a deal with JordanRiver Ent for a multiple record deal.

The band is currently in the studio putting the final touches to their debut entitled "Rex Mundi" due on early 2008, comments the label founder on the deal, this sort of cooperation being the first for a European band with our label will open the doors wide on the international scene, bringing forth one of the finest bands to emerge from today's Greek scene.

Finally, after 2 years of forging the new Sarissa line up with rehearsals and live concerts,the time now has come for the new recording.
The idea is for the new members to prove themselfs that they are 100% Sarissians (in the studio too) ,and so we are attempting to record a new "best of" cd ,
with remakes of old Sarissa songs.
I know some of our older fans may say, "what, the old stuff again?" but be patient,
the new songs are on their way !!!
You have to understand that this is a neccesary step for me.
The new uploaded song "Immortal souls" is a pre-recording that we did in our own studio, to see how well we're going with our new equipment,
and finally to hear how it sounds !!!
I think it sounds well, and we'd love to hear your opinions,so LEAVE a comment.

Greek black metal pioneers NECROMANTIA have inked a deal with Dockyard 1. The group is currently working on its new album, "The Sound of Lucifer Blasting Heaven", for a November release.

Bassit/vocalist Angelos of the Greek extreme metallers HOMO IRATUS has left the band. His official statement on the matter reads as follows:

"After seven years of dedicated soul deposit to HOMO IRATUS, bucketloads of fun, recordings and live shows it has come to the point where I have to part ways with the band. I did not feel comfortable with the band's new musical orientation and therefore I could not continue on playing since the change was not there for me anymore and our musical tastes where now in somewhat of a contrast. And since there's no reason of doing something you don't like as much, it was only logical to come to this.

Let it be known that legendary SEPTIC FLESH have returned! Greek daemons Seth, Chris Antoniou, Sotiris V. and Fotis Benardo are back as they decided that besides their experimentation with different projects and musical paths, the path of the Flesh was not completely explored. And they have more nightmares to share...

SEPTIC FLESH will record their sixth full length album under the flag of Season of Mist. The yet untitled album will carry all the elements that made the sound of SEPTIC FLESH so distinctive. There will be pale, strange guitar melodies, brutal and sharp riffing, the devil behind the mic, and of course the neoclassical arrangements that are trademark of Chris Antoniou.

For that purpose alone, Chris the "gothic maestro" will torture a full orchestra and choir respectively made of 80 musicians and 32 singers! The rest of the album will be recorded and mixed on what has become the temple of the past two musical rituals of SEPTIC FLESH. Yes, once again they have chosen to invade the famous Fredman studios, with the company of Fredrik Nordstrom.

Soulskinner, the Death Metal band featuring Gothmog (ex-Thou Art Lord), Makis (Necromantia) and Bill completed their line-up with the addition of drummer Alex (In Utero Cannibalism) and second guitar player Vangelis.

ROTTING CHRIST mainman Sakis Tolis has told MetalZone.gr that the group's previously announced live album - which was recorded a year ago - will finally see the light of day before the end of 2007. The pioneers of the Greek metal scene put on two special two-hour shows featuring songs covering their entire catalog. These live concerts were held on February 3-4, 2006 at Blive Music House in Larissa, Greece and were the only shows to be recorded for the upcoming CD. The gigs marked the band's 18 years in the metal scene and fans from around the world were in attendance. The band also played a very special concert consisting exclusively of material from their first three albums - "Passage To Arcturo" (1989), "Thy Mighty Contract" (1992) and "Non Serviam" (1994) - on January 14, 2006 at An Club in Athens, Greece.

In other news, Tolis also told MetalZone.gr that the band will return to their home country after an extensive European tour to play a couple of shows that will be recorded for an upcoming DVD. More information will be made available soon.

Swedish/Greek death metal outfit NIGHTRAGE has announced the addition of guitarist Constantine to the group's ranks. Constantine hails from Athens, Greece and is said to be "a really talented guitarist" who "is willing to give everything for NIGHTRAGE.

California-based "dark occult blackened death metal" act RESUSCITATOR will embark on a North American tour with in May/June with ROTTING CHRIST and IN AETERNUM. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.

We've now signed our first non-Norwegian band, namely the Greek black metal band Ravencult. You can expect some wicked, raw, grim and cold black metal from their debut album, "Temples Of Torment", which will be released in March. Check the band out on their myspace site. Ravencult stands for traditional, old style Black Metal since their formation in mid-2001. Originating from Athens, Hellas they have gradually developed their sound to become a crossing between the first and second wave of Black Metal. From the very first demo up to this day, the band remains focused in delivering straightforward Black Metal heavily influenced by the Nordic sound and its godfathers, namely Bathory and Celtic Frost. RAVENCULT has established their presence in the metal underground by releasing two demos in 2002 (“Despise The Blindfold”) and 2003 (“Cosmic Chaos”) respectively, and a 7”EP in 2004 (“Armageddon Rising”). In late 2005 they traveled to Norway in order to record their debut album at Mølla Studios, Eskeland with Knut Magne Valle of Arcturus as producer. This album, entitled “Temples Of Torment”, led the band in gaining a record deal with Dark Essence Records Norway. Ravencult is a live act and throughout the years of their existence they have shared the stage with important acts of the Black Metal milieu like Aura Noir, Mayhem, Carpathian Forest, Rotting Christ, Behemoth, Arcturus, Impaled Nazarene, Ancient, Varathron. The “Temples Of Torment” album is to be released in March 2007. Responsible for the artwork design is the infamous US artist and member of Sunn O))), Khanate etc, Stephen O'Malley. As for the future, expect no less than primitive, diehard metal dedicated to the oldschool ways.

As previously reported, Lifeforce Records has set a February 26, 2007 European release date (April 4, 2007 in the U.S./Canada) for NIGHTRAGE's follow-up to 2005's "Descent into Chaos". Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Spiral", "Reconcile", "Encircle", and "Scathing".

NIGHTRAGE once again utilized the services of Pierre Lysell from the Swedish band NONE as the second guitarist for its recent tour with VADER. The band also recently announced the addition of drummer Alex Svenningson (ex-MINDFALL) to its ranks.

NIGHTRAGE has been confirmed for the Metal Healing Festival, set to take place July 20-22, 2007 in Greece. Also scheduled to appear are THE HAUNTED, DESTRUCTION, ROTTING CHRIST, TO/DIE/FOR, MYSTIC PROPHECY and EKTOMORF, among others.

NIGHTRAGE was originally formed in Greece back in the year 2000 by Iliopoulos (formerly of EXHUMATION, who released three high-quality death metal albums, all produced in Sweden) and his friend Gus G. (DREAM EVIL, FIREWIND, MYSTIC PROPHECY). NIGHTRAGE released two albums on Century Media Records, "Sweet Vengeance" (2003) and "Descent Into Chaos" (2005), before they parted ways with vocalist Tomas Lindberg (AT THE GATES, DISFEAR, THE CROWN) and Strimell joined the band on vocal duties
