I love books and know many people who do also. I wanted to create an area for students who want to share that love with others. I have loved reading ever since I was a little kid. I couldn't get enough of the things. I was always in trouble for reading during math or and science, and I regret none of it. I learned so much from books that I could not have figured out on my own. Literature is an important facet in societal culture and I hope to meet many who share this same ideal.
My name is Casey Harris and I am a senior, class of 2008. For my senior project, I took over the Helix Book Review site from Mrs. Potter, one of the Librarians. I hope to have many students upload book reviews and reconmendations for the site. I wanted students to have the ability to share their favortie (and possible not-so-favorite) books with other peers. There are many books out there, and sometimes it can be hard to chose one to read, but this way, there will be a way to possibly narrow down that list. I hope each and every student. teacher, contributer, viewer, and reader enjoys this site and finds it helpful.
