Helios is a members only organization, established in 1964 for ordinary people from all walks of life with one thing in common,
"social nudism".
Helios is located a short distance between Edmonton and Tofield, Alberta just off highway 14. A serene environment with recently renovated pool and hot tub. Helios is a landed club and as such, is situated on forty two acres of rolling land. Many members have year round campsites others simply come out for the day. There is a clubhouse in which many activities are held. These include dances, darts, potluck dinners, barbecues etc. As well there is a nature trail that is great just to get out and stretch your legs. You are always welcome to visit with others at the sunning area at the pool or just stop and chat with people at their camp site.

Nude recreation is a form of self expression. It embraces the joy of living and experiencing nature in the most natural way possible. To relax and be nude is to let yourself be totally free. Although we enjoy clothing-free activities in appropriate settings, we also choose to wear clothes when practical.
We respect each other's individuality. Our own self-esteem is enhanced by our ability to accept ourselves as we really are. Social class distinctions stated by clothing disappear. We find it easy to accept others regardless of physical size, shape, or body condition. People who enjoy nude recreation distinguish between nudity and sex and keep the two in their proper perspective.
Many naturists would answer, "Why not be nude?" Why would you wear clothing while swimming? You don't wear clothing in the bath or shower. There are many and varied definitions of what Naturists are or are not, however all agree that the body is a natural and that it feels good to be nude.
Being a nudist or a naturist has nothing to do with sex, but rather a feeling of being free, comfortable, and one with nature. Naturists believe in body acceptance.
