Welcome to the Heki Clan

"Our goal here at the Heki Clan is to bring back the ancient traditions of Kyuba no Michi (the Way of the Bow and Horse) and Yumiya No Michi(The Way of the Bow and Arrow)into the Shogun Total War battlefield and have fun in the process."

A Brief History

The name Heki comes from the ancient heki Clan who were a branch of the Tsuge ninja Clan. Heki Danjo Matsasugu was the founder of heki-Ryu a school of Kyudo with a history over 500 years old. Heki danjo developed a technique for peasants who generally weren't equipped with horses, this technique emphasized shooting from a standing position which meant a longer draw with longer and thicker arrows , as oppose to the traditional schools of mounted archery like the Ogasawara and Renmei schools who were limited to a shorter draw because of the wings on their helmets,this shorter draw also cause them to use shorter arrows which diminished their distance. Here at the Heki Clan we try to combine both methods ,long sistance and short distance, moving and standing still.

The Heki Clan's10 Kaho(House Rules)

1	No Profanity or Bickering of any kind will be allowed or tolerated at any time whether in posts or the Shogun foyer.
2	Discioline in all matters will not only be expected but demanded from all clan members.
3	All members will carry the Heki surname along with an appropiate (jap. name) of their choice.
4	Clan meetings are mandatory and they will be held once a month-A date will be posted.
5	The line of command must be followed at all times.
6	Practice, is mandatory so it should be held all the time at any time by yourself or with a clanmate but Practice.
7	The Heki Clan has 3 ranks and they are as follows:Ashigaru,Samurai, and Taisho. These ranks have set standards which must be met before advancement to the other rank is permitted.
8	The reading of the Art of Warand a basic understanding of it is not only recommended, but also mandatory.
9	Any member suspected or accused of treason or any ill intent towards the clan and/or its members will be expelled immediately.
10	These are the Heki Clan Kaho rules which are to be followed at all times,deviation from any of these will cause immediate discharge from the clan. -Daimyo Heki Clan
