I am one of the longest standing UK breeders of African pygmy hedgehogs and couldnt imagine life without them now.
Our first hedgehog was Walter, he was a grey male and was very grumpy, he had not been handled regularly and was about 8 months old when we got him. As we were new to keeping them we were not confident at handling him and used to use gardening gloves to pick up the very prickly ball. over time he softened and we became more confident. Our experiences with Walter lead us to buying some females and having a go at breeding, and the rest is history. We specialise in breeding healthy happy hogs with wonderful temperaments.
I have been running the UK hedgehog registry for years now and we have over 1500 pet hedgehogs registered, with support growing all the time.
