Heaven Sent -- Rules

*General*
The first thing you will notice about this game is that it is open to horse lovers of anyone aged 13 and up. The second thing is that you are expected to be active in this game. If you can't even be on once a week to enter horses into a show and/or update them, then this is not a game for you. All characters start with $200,000 sim money and you are to keep track of this amount using The Bank (withdrawing and depositing when needed) and it will be monitored to ensure there is no cheating. Please make sure to read our Disclaimer and understand it all. People joining Heaven Sent should have some knowledge of playing a sim game like this. It is not like The Sims. Respect is a HUGE thing here so you should treat everyone else the way you want to be treated. If there is anything inappropriate, I will not hesitate to remove you from the game. You should also ask before sending email to other members of the game, just as a courtesy, and make sure to put a removal message in the email. This is a mostly realistic game, so you are expected to use names such as Sally or Jessica, last names are optional. If you join with a name like horselover456, you will be denied membership in this game. Valid email addresses are also required when joining.

*Characters*
When you begin playing the game you create a 'character' and are allowed to create up to 3 horses or dogs for that character, but 'real life' animals are not allowed to be used. This means no Alydar or Secretariat, but you can have them in the bloodlines. Same goes for the dogs. There is a humane society in the game that will take your animals away if your bank account goes below $0. Horses must be seen by the Vet and Farrier once a game year and have feed, hay and bedding purchased yearly as well. Tack must be purchased before your horses can be ridden or shown. Dogs must go to the Vet once a game year and have feed purchased yearly as well. To be shown, a dog must have a collar and leash purchased before entering. Trailers are required for a horse to be shown or raced also, so make sure to purchase one of them before getting too far into the game. Stables can be purchased for $1,000,000 and you can add on a Kennel for only $200,000 extra. Kennels can be purchased for $500,000 separately, but you cannot buy a kennel first and then a stable and expect to get a deal on the price. If you own a stable or kennel, your money must stay above $100,000 or you will be in danger of losing it. A webpage or separate forum must be made for all stables and kennels. Links should be sent to Kira for approval and then they must be posted in your member post.

*Horses*
Your horses and dogs can only show or race in which ever discipline they're designated in. Horses can be bred anytime after the age of 4, dogs can be bred anytime after the age of 3. Your horses can have a total of 3 disciplines and please be realistic in choosing them. You cannot breed a normal sized horse to a pony unless Artificial Insemination is used because of the size difference, but I would not recommend doing this. If the foal is too big for foaling, both mare and foal could die. Mares and female dogs can only be bred once each year and there must be at least 4 years (horses) or 3 years (dogs) between the offspring and the youngest parent. Your racehorses can only race on the flat until the end of their 8th year and over the jumps (steeplechase) from the beginning of their 4th year until the end of their 10th year, but they can then be retrained to be shown. Horses can show until the end of their 19th year after which they are retired. At this time, all horses will be more at risk of illness, injury and death. No one will be targeted and it will be done randomly. You can breed to a real life stallion, but they must be living at the time of your breeding. Dogs can show until the end of their 11th year after which they are retired. As with the horses, they will be more at risk for problems at this time. You may also choose to breed to real life dogs with the same condition, they must be living at the time.

*Showing and Racing*
Now we come to the part about showing and racing. On the "HSS Community" you can see the list of money and points that your horses and dogs can earn if they do well in the shows and races. It is your responsibility to keep your animals updated. You will only be able to enter the classes and levels that are appropriate for your animals. You can hold your own shows if you want, just contact Kira with your request. Horses trained in racing will ALWAYS start out as maidens. Only after they win a race can they then move onto the higher levels.

*All-Sim Community*
We are now a part of the All-Sim Community and as such you are allowed to enter shows and races throughout this expansive community of sim gamers alike. Other members of the All-Sim community are also allowed to enter OUR shows and races. Please keep track of the points your horses earn in these other shows and races as they DO count toward your horse's total. Don't forget that if you win money to add this to your bank account and to deduct money from your account for entering the shows or races as well if there are fees. We are using the honor system with this, so please keep track.
