Are you aware of the numerous benefits of infant massage? Loving, nurturing touch is vital to survival, and you will learn the whys and hows of infant massage!
Infant Massage helps calm baby and enables him/her to relax, relieves stress in your infant, enhances brain development, aids with digestion and colic, helps you communicate with your baby, encourages trust, and helps babies achieve a deeper, more restful sleep. We encourage dads/partners to learn these easy massage techniques too, so they can enjoy the loving and bonding aspects of Infant Massage. We also will teach you how to continue massage as baby grows through the years!
Infant massage classes are held in Brampton over 5 sessions, with each class lasting roughly 1.5 - 2 hours. You will learn different massage strokes in each class, and review the strokes learned in previous classes. The goal is for you to use these massage techniques with your baby at home. (Please note that only the baby's parent(s) will be massaging their baby in class). Time will also be spent discussing how infant massage has made a difference in your relationship with your baby, and how baby has responded to this relaxing and enjoyable experience.
Classes are held in groups of a minimum of 3 families (Mom and/or Dad + infant(s) under 9 months of age). You will meet other parents with babies for a fun time of socializing and making new friends, along with sharing concerns and discussing related topics, as you each learn the massage strokes to provide your own babies with loving, nurturing, comforting touch.
All classes are taught by an Infant Massage Instructor who has been professionally trained by the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM). For a one-time fee of only $125.00 you will receive five (5), 1.5 - 2 hour classes, massage oil, the book "Infant Massage - A Handbook for Loving Parents" by Vimala McClure (founder of IAIM), and a future full of loving time spent with your baby.
NOTE: Fees are per family (Mom and/or Dad + baby under 9 months old. Multiples welcome!).
