Heaven's Heartbeat Childbirth Services

Pam Soltesz, formerly of Montreal, is a long-time resident of Brampton and Caledon with a passion for childbirth and related issues.  She has specialized training in the childbirth field through numerous childbirth and doula organizations, as well as many years' experience as both a labour doula and a childbirth educator supporting couples and single moms through pregnancy, labour and delivery, breastfeeding and newborn care.   In response to the growing need for Prenatal Classes, Labour Doulas and Infant Massage Instruction,  Heaven's Heartbeat Childbirth Services was created to provide these services to expectant parents in the communities of Brampton, Caledon, Bolton, Mississauga, Orangeville and surrounding areas. 

As a Leadership Volunteer at William Osler Health Centre, Peel Memorial Campus from 1998 to 2007, she donated hundreds of hours of her time and expertise as a Labour Doula.  In collaboration with another doula and with enthusiastic support from management, she successfully launched a Volunteer Labour Doula program at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga in September 2007, so that more women can have the support of a doula for their birth, fulfilling the DONA mission statement of  "a doula for every woman who wants one". 

A life-long learner who strongly values continuing education, Pam is an active member of PCEN (Peel Childbirth Educators Network), CDA (Canadian Doula Association), CAPPA Canada, DoulaCARE, DONA International (DONA) and the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).  She is an experienced CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educator, an experienced DONA-trained and CAPPA Certified Labour Doula (CLD) and a CAPPA-trained Antepartum Doula.   Pam recently expanded her services and has been trained as an Infant Massage Instructor by the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM).  She has successfully completed childbirth education and birth-related continuing education courses through Humber College/Women's College Hospital (Toronto), CAPPA Canada, DoulaCARE, Peel Childbirth Educators Network, the International Association of Infant Massage, and attends several childbirth-related conferences, seminars and workshops throughout the Greater Toronto Area each year.  Pam is available for speaking engagements.

Happily married to a wonderfully supportive husband for 26+ years, she is the proud (and adoring) mother of two beautiful adult daughters, and a great son-in-law.
