My family

I do not own a "kennel". My boxers live in my house. Sleep in their personal beds. I breed as a hobby for the love of my dogs and the breed. I do my best to stay close to the breed standard and breed healthy well tempered dogs. I do crate train my dogs until they are house broke , but other than that they are normal members of my family . They play with my kids ,6 yr and 8 yrs old ,all day.  I believe if you don't have room for them in your house at least in the evenings, I can't imagine making my babies sleep out side even in a dog house, then you have them for the wrong reason! Anyone that keeps dogs exclusively for breeding and not as a part of the family is a puppymill whether they have 2 dogs or 20!  How would you feel being kept in a cage all day by yourself an then being forced to have litter after litter until you were no longer useful ?

To date I have produced 35 puppies in 4 litters. I know each one by name and think of them all the time , I also keep in contact with most all my families to make sure they are still doing well.

Why do I breed and what makes me different ?

In order to be a good breeder you have to have love for the breed, so you will want to preserve it the right way for may generation to come so they can enjoy it too. This often means spending alot of money and time to get what you want so being a backyard breeder would be difficult if you really loved the breed.

Second what , sets me apart from other breeders that preserve the breed properly is my LOVE of families!  I breed for families plain and simple. It brings me so much joy to see a family in love with their dog and i do everything possible to get them the dog that will be in love with for the rest of their lives. That is why my prices are reasonable and i work really hard staying in contact with families before and after they get one of my puppies , trust me if you know that i spend hours with you online and on the phone just times that by how many puppies i sell and even more that i am unable to sell cause i don't produce that many but still help people wanting answers and help.  That is a FULL time job but i do not get paid for it. I do it cause i love it!

IF either of the two loves is lost then i become a backyard breeder or a snooty breeder. There are very few of us that stand in the middle and we are quickly becoming extinct because of the bad reputations breeders are getting now from PETA and other groups that would rather not allow any breeders at all. Pretty soon the only choice someone will have for a puppy is a rescue from the pound,(which is great if you can) but with unknown backgrounds and temperments makes it a hard place to pick out a dog OR a show dog that will cost a couple grand.  I am trying to produce a high quality dog for as little cost as possible for my families.

There are many breeders that will tell you if you don't pay 1500 or more for a dog than it can't be from a good breeder that does things right. I say that is BULL. They only reason for a person to charge that much for their puppies is so only the more wealthy will be able to afford them or for the pure fact of money.  I know for a fact of a few breeders that breed under the pretense of only haveing a few dogs and them being pets but in fact they have MANY dogs and the dogs live in kennels. That is why it is important for me that my families make the trip to my home and meet my dogs and see that there is no hidden secrets. I don't live in a big house with acres of land and barns for them to be stashed in. I wish i had that kind of room for them but at the present I don't because i don't work the 1 or 2 litters i produce a year is my only income and with my prices and what i spend on them I barely break even.  The only reason i added this paragraph is because there are so many decitful breeders out there that, may even show and health test their dogs but only care  about them only as trophies and status symbols and they make it very difficult for anyone to get into their circle to see what truly goes on behind closed doors.  So in all aspects do not just take pictures and words as fact . Ask if you can go to the houses and see where the dogs are kept and not just the parents you are buying from ask to see ALL the dogs and you may be very suprised at the puppymills operating at higher standards.  Ask if they know all the puppies by name and you tell them apart without collars or marks just by the personalities, can they tell you who barks more or who is a cuddler. A breeder that knows each puppy like it is a child is the one you want to by your puppy from because that is what it will be to you a family member or child not just a dog.
