Davids Cross

This is called Davids Cross because of my husband. I had the center and after a day of racking my brain on how to do the rest of the cross he said "let me see it" so after looking at if for a bit he said how he thought it would look nice and i did it, I think its beautiful and so simple to do.
You will need to stiffen this once its done.

CENTER: Round 1
R: 1 - (16 picots) cl rw
*CH: 3 - 3 + (sk 1 p join at next) knot
Continue from * and join at beginning.
Cut tie hide ends
Round 2: (different Color)
+ at any empty picot
*CH: 5 - 5 + (skip 1 available picot + @ next)
Continue from * to end and join at beginning.
cut tie hide ends
Round 3: (same color as round 1)
+ at empty picot
*CH: 7 tp 7 + at next available picot
Continue from * to end and join at beginning
cut tie hide ends
