European/Swedish Massage- this technique is used with oils and long strokes, kneading, vibration, friction, and percussion are applied to the muscles. It can be applied effectively for general relaxation, general health enhancement, sports massage, injury recovery and rehabilitation, and many other purposes.
Oriental/Amma Massage- this is a dry technique that is done over loose clothing and uses a mixture of circular hand movements and acupressure that focuses on the energy pathways in which Qi, Blood, and Fluids pass through the entire body and organs balancing the body, mind, and spirit.
Aromatherapy- essential oils that are extracted from nature’s herbs and flowers. The aroma is inhaled, or applied to the skin, and each of the oils (or combination thereof) addresses a specific disorder. Oils can soothe, relax, rejuvenate, heal, energize, or relieve pain, thereby affecting the body's physical, psychological and emotional levels.
Pregnancy Massage- you will be comfortably supported with pillows during your massage. In later pregnancy you can experience a complete massage comfortably supported in a side-lying position. You will be draped with a sheet everywhere except the part of your body being massaged.
Candling/Ear Coning- is an ancient technique of creating a long cone or funnel usually out of cotton muslin, which has been soaked in paraffin or bees wax, and various herbs. This was practiced by ancient civilizations such as, the Aztecs, Incas, Mayans, Native Americans, and more recently in Europe. The Ear Cone or Candle is about one foot long, and the narrow end fits into the ear of the person lying on their side. The candle is lit at the far end, the heat of which creates a “chimney effect,” which cause the hot air to rise, and thus creates a vacuum within the ear. This healing art is extremely profound, for it is reputed to initiate a healing process that continues for several days after the coning.
Deep Work- a therapeutic massage that helps to alleviate chronic pain and restore range of motion. Similar to Swedish massage, the strokes are the same but are used with more pressure to reach the deeper layer of muscle.
