This is kind of a biographical account ( through poetry) of what her married life was like. It talks of domestic violence and surviving.
Ms. Horne's ex husband was very abusive to both her and her son. It seemed like a nightmare that would never end.
Heather thanks God everyday for getting out with both her life and her son's.
