Hardin Eldora Animal Rescue Team H.E.A.R.T. is state inspected and licensed. Our purpose is to promote spay and neuter, prevent cruelty and neglect, educate the public, practice Trap, Neuter, Return of feral cats, reunite lost pets with their owners and rescue and rehome abandoned and unwanted animals. We do this out of our homes with limited resources, no outside funding and little community support. Financial and space constraints keep the number of animals we are able to help much smaller than we would like. Volunteers and donations (food,litter,supplies,$$ etc) are always needed and appreciated! We are not 501(c)3 yet but we are definitely non profit! All animals are spayed or neutered and fully vetted which includes FeLV/FIV testing for cats and heartworm testing for dogs before being offered for adoption. No animal is ever 'put to sleep' to make room for another! We are a NO KILL Pet Rescue, proudly serving our community! We want to involve you & help other communities see that pet's do have a chance if we all pull together & help those who can not help themselves. Together we (CAN) make a difference. One pet at a TIME. Thousands of pet's become displaced every year, through no fault of their own. We as a community must do everything we can to help these pets get into safe & forever homes, for LIFE! Please join us in the pursuit of LIFE & help us save one pet at a time. Together it is possible, but it requires many to become involved for the love of pet's that need us all! When you CHOOSE to adopt from a NO KILL Pet Rescue, you are freeing up space for yet another pet to come into rescue, get trained, worked with & you have the ability to choose a pet that fits into your family. Less risks, safer adoptions & absolutely NO RUSH to adopt. This enables you to take your time to adopt the RIGHT pet for your home. Adopting a pet is a huge responsibility that should never be taken lightly. We want our rescues adopted into their new home for the rest of their lives. Stopping the bounce, taking away the fear & allowing pet's to become a part of a forever family. No kill rescues offer more than a chance, they offer TIME to allow families to get the right pet that fits the personality, that will make a home full of harmony.
You will never adopt any pet that will give you 100% greatness everyday of it's life, as people are not perfect everyday of their lives. Everything has it's ups & it's downs, but when you make a wise adoption decision, everyone can have a great start and a happy life for many years to come. A pet requires a serious commitment! Please consider this when adopting. Never take pet adoption lightly or it can end up tragic & place the pet one more time in harms way. Please take the TIME to get to know a pet PRIOR to adopting. Allow the rescuers to rescue & you simply choose a pet that fits. NO KILL pet rescues allow you to make a wise decision instead of a rash decision. We hope you will enjoy our website.
