It was great to see some of the people from last year's festival back again to support us this year, and definately great to see lots of new faces too. I was delighted with the response from all the visitors, both in how many people turned up and the comments that came to my attention. For any of you who have concerns with our festival, I sincerely hope that they will be delt with better next year.
The entertainment was once again a good mix, and I especailly enjoyed the duelling banjos duet between Woody and Andy from Michigan duo, considering they had never played together before!
I was also extremely pleased that the whether held out for the weekend, which gave more people the opportunity to have a go at our field games and to have a look around our stalls. While I am on the subject, I would like to thanks Hoss and Paul for running the games and a big thanks to the stall holders for supporting our festival.
I would also like to say thanks to all the artists, the James Gang, Nick and Rob in the food wagon, Cowboys-on-Wheels committee and the many volunteers who helped make our festival what I believe was a success.
A great highlight for me this year was the Sunday service, I was so pleased to see quite a few turn up, and for those who missed it... well you missed a hell of a good time. Doc Amos delivered a very enlightening service debating the subject of male shovenism... The collection in the hat made £40.61, half a crumpet, a spearmint, 6 9mm blanks and a settlers tablet... thanks to all who contibuted!
