Homeschool Enrichment Activities is a ministry designed to assist homeschooling parents by offering their students weekly activities and electives to complement their home learning experiences in the context of a Biblical worldview that will equip teens to influence the world around them for Christ.
The activities offered at this time are geared to 8th -12th grade students. Each enrichment activity is offered once per week on Wednesday (except the Biology session which is on Tuesday) for 90 minutes. SCHEDULE; CALENDAR; Homeschool Enrichment Activity Guide

What Homeschool Enrichment Activities at New Life Camp IS…
· A place... where home schooled students who are studying the same subject can gather to discuss what they are learning and engage in other group activities such as debates, oral presentations, and labs.
· An environment... where students have access to a skilled instructor who can augment the instruction they are receiving from text books and their parents.
· A group... of Christian parents and instructors who are joining together to enrich the education of our homeschooled students and prepare our youth to be Christ-centered adults. A steering committee made of volunteer homeschool parents oversees the functions of the Homeschool Enrichment Activities.
Participants are students in a registered home school, and the parents are responsible for the student’s instruction. Parents are responsible for making sure their participation in these enrichment activities complies with State laws governing homeschooling in NC. The enrichment activities are chosen to help parents successfully meet academic requirements that would ordinarily be difficult to cover only at home. Examples might be science labs, foreign languages and other activities in which a group setting and/or subject-specific expertise is helpful.
Each activity is designed to assist the student to be a self-learner; the greatest part of the material is expected to be covered at home. Only ninety minutes per week is spent in the group session, but the student will typically be working a minimum of another 4-6 hours per week at home under the supervision and instruction of their parents. Homework is an essential aspect of the program. In order to keep students synchronized in their studies, students and parents will receive a clear syllabus.
Parents will choose the activities best suited to the needs of their student. Fees are charged for each activity to cover instructors and materials. Activities are not grade specific, meaning that students of different grade levels may attend the same session. The Homeschool Enrichment Activities are operated on a semester basis with each semester being 16 weeks.
