Exercise and Diet

Exercise is something that you might just think is for vain celebrities but you should not see it this way.  OK, so lots of people start exercising just because they want a more attractive body.  But this is not to say that you can’t exercise for health reasons too.  People are getting more dependant on prescription drugs these days and the sad fact is that much of it isn’t required if you just exercise and eat a healthy diet.

When you get up, leap around the room, go for a jog, ride your bike or run up the stairs, you are forcing your heart to work a lot harden compared to just sitting about watching TV or surfing the internet.  When your heart starts to get pumping you will find that the flow of blood in your body increases and this then causes your tissues to become flooded with lots of lovely fresh oxygen. Another thing it helps with is to get rid of cellular waste from your body.

You will also notice that when you exercise you are breathing much deeper than normal.  When this happens you will find that your lungs are forcing more oxygen into your body and this helps your heart going.  Carbon dioxide is then removed from your body when you exhale, this is a good thing to happen because carbon dioxide is a waste product.

It’s not necessary that exercise takes over your whole life in order for it to improve your health.  If you just do some moderate exercise a few times a week you will see lots of benefits.  One such benefit to happen is that HDL (High-Density Lipoprotein) cholesterol is increased.  You might think that this would be a bad thing to happen but really, HDL is the type of cholesterol that you actually want in your body.  Also, if you are overweight or diabetic, you will really appreciate the fact that exercising helps with the control of blood sugar levels.  This is because exercising causes your body to convert the sugar into energy.

So if you think that exercising should just be done by those wanting to slim down for summer you are seriously wrong.  Exercising should be done by everyone who want to live life to the fullest and prevent illness.  However if you particularly want to change certain body parts then you should learn about different types of exercise.  Some people even feel they are too skinny and want to lift weights in order to bulk up.

It’s best that you do different types of exercising rather than just focusing on one type.  You should also understand that importance of warming up the muscles and stretching them before you go onto anything more vigorous such as aerobic exercising or weight lifting.
