Last night saw a magnificent match against the two big titans of last season, the Loren Rangers who won the season, and Ragner's Swift Velocity who won the Championship that same year.
Many fans and spectators turned out to this opening match of the new 2507/08 season. A lot has been changed this season by the Commissioners, there are now two new divisions which contains five teams in each section. The winner of each division will slog it out with each other until one is crowned Champion. Could it be The Rangers again? or are RSV out to upset a few elf's? Also in this exciting match, Helsey White the new Rangers Lineman is making his debut, what a game to debut in!
The game was played at the RSV home ground, the atmosphere was intense even for a reporter like me! Loren Rangers won the toss and decided to receive. A huge kick and a sharp address from RSV saw the game underway. A nimble rangers attack on RSV saw them a bit confused but a quick reaction by the RSV ogre, yet to be named as we can't understand him, smashes Rangers Star Elesser Everlong into the ground, I don't care where your from that's must of hurt. Minutes later RSV launched a daring move deep into the Rangers half, Lars Ulrichson made a dashing move into the end zone, not even the quickness of the Elfs could stop him. A mighty jump in the air to catch the ball and it was 1-0. TOUCHDOWN RSV!
Play was restarted and the Rangers looked ready to fire a counter attack. Cable Kingson came on for the injured Aragash Breeze. After a few plays the Rangers saw an opportunity to strike back. Moving quickly down the wing Caneran Everlong, brother to Elesser Everlong, Caneran brushed off all attacks and tackles from RSV to score the equalizer. TOUCHDOWN RANGERS!
Just before the half Rangers pushed another move down the wing again and thanks to the quickness as well as the fumbling of RSV Elsion Crownstar scores the Touchdown to put Rangers in front. TOUCHDOWN RANGERS!
The half time whistle went and the players went down into the dugouts. Rangers once losing 1-0 are now 2-1 up at half time and looked to be dominating the game.
The half time entertainment this week was Snork and his traveling snotlings performing a very special remdition of that famous song, Punting Halflings. Brought tears of joy to this reporter. But back to the action. As the players came out of the tunnel, RSV looked like they were out for Elf blood.
Loren Rangers kicked off to restart the action.
