HD Walk

Another successful walk! Our first deposit was for $10,582.00!!! It was a beautiful day - the rain held off until there were only a handful of walkers left. We did our walk backwards this year. Everyone registered at The Guthrie Center and then our groovy vw microbus drivers brought everyone to Theresa's Stockbridge Cafe (formerly Alice's Restaurant)where they began their walk. We had photo ops at the Police Officer's Station with Chief Wiggum and Chief Wilcox, and then were entertained by the Dump Divas at the old town dump. From there we ate shrimp at the Hydrodam and then onto Mile 4 with super yummy ice cream donated by SoCo Creamery. We continued on to the old train station now owned by Robbie Baier and received peace necklaces from John & Ed. We then headed to our last full mile at AmeriGas ran by manager Gary and family and then the last 1/4 mile past the railroad tracks to The Guthrie Center where everyone had lunch and was entertained by The Tony Lee Thomas Band.
