The purpose of this website is to keep my freshmen English I students and parents updated with assignments and objectives being covered in class.  There is a great forum for students and parents to ask questions about assignments in class.  Please check back often to see what has been updated and changed!

Incoming Freshmen - I have added a page about the two summer reading novels.  The information is to help you with the characters, plot, and history behind the two novels.  Please don't hesitate to post questions in the forums if you have questions.

 The mission of Carnegie Vanguard High School is to provide a unique and challenging learning environment to prepare the diverse gifted & talented population of HISD for leadership in a global society.

Carnegie Vanguard Vision Statement

  In order to support the CVHS mission we envision a school that:
