I decided I didn't like the way the 2nd mystery shawl was turning out, the pattern just didn't show in the colour of yarn I was using. So I frogged it. Started over yesterday in pink Shetland 2ply (lace weight) and worked both the first and second clues. Last night the 3rd clue was posted so I printed it off and worked it this afternoon. It's much better in the pink, I love it!
My Mum sent me a pattern for a 1940's style top, worked in 2ply. As I have plenty of 2 ply bought from the charity shop I started work straight away, so far I've got the back finished and I'm up to the armhole shaping on the front. Worked in a Shetland wool, it's lovely to knit with, it looks pretty long, hope it's not too long when it's finished!
I've finished the green lace top for my MIL, no photos as yet, I need a button and don't have one the correct size in the colour required.
Thursday I started knitting a top for the summer, from the Knit Today magazine, issue 8. As usual I'm not using the correct yarn, I'm using a pink cotton yarn with a silver metalic thread in it. Took it to Perth for the weekend, and managed to get up to the armhole shaping on the back!
Today I started the 2nd Mystery Shawl, finished clue 1. I'm using a pure cotton 2ply yarn that I got cheap from the charity shop in a dark green/brown.
