Most multiples have reported having an inner-landscape of some type. We are no exception. I (Brook) was not here when our core first became aware of us but I understand our inner-landscape at the time to have been nothing but a dark, cold, gray place. This didn't feel like a safe or comforting place to go to when someone needed to be inside for an extended period of time. We have a group of very close friends who go by the system name of Rhymershouse Collective who explained to one of us how we could build a home inside. Then the children were asked for ideas on how this home should look. It was a big agreement that they wanted to live inside the trunk of a tree. When asked what kind most of them decided a willow tree. The adults took to making this place. I was not around and can not explain how it was done to a "t", but do know it involved some serious thinking and planning. As of now, we live inside a hallowed-out willow tree with a large iron door that locks on both the outside and the inside. We each have a key once we get inside to let us into the tree. Once inside, this place is much much larger than it appears on the outside. We each have a bedroom that we decorated ourselves. We have a large living room with a fireplace, books, a computer area, a cafe table and chairs, and a play area for the children. We have a kitchen there as well, and of course a bathroom. The latter is more out of outside habit as there is no need to use the restroom inside. Outside of the tree there is a sitting area under the long branches of our tree. We often have one-on-one meetings with our core there if something needs to be discussed in private. The ground is lush and green a majority of the time though we do have snow there. There is a crystal-clear stream in the distance. Oh yes, and we have a dog inside named Conrad.
