Who We Are

"We".  Perhaps an unusual word for some to see in reference to a single body typing on a web page.  In our case, this is  a word used daily.  There is no simple or short way to explain this to the general, singlet (with all due respect),  uninformed population.   We welcome you to our corner of the  internet with open arms as long as you come here with an open-mind and  an open-heart.  To put  it plainly, though possibly not so plainly to some, we are the members of a group of people living in the body of someone with Dissociative Identity Disorder.  This used to be known as (and still is in some parts of the world) Multiple Personality Disorder.  That person, who was born with this body, is known as the "core".  The rest of us, we call ourselves her "others" because the psychological term frightens the children in our system.  Including our core, there are nineteen of us that we are aware of at this time.  We range in age from two-years-old to, well, we're not sure.  Our body and core, at this time, is nearing twenty-eight-years-old.  There are males here and females as well.  We came here due to various traumas of various degrees and origins.  What is traumatic to one person may not be to another and vice versa.  That having been said, a trauma is an unexpected event one has no control over in which he or she believes his or her life is in danger or he or she witnesses the loss of life in someone else.  Both cases apply to us.

We are still working on this site, so please bear with us.  As it grows, you will get to know us better.  Thank you for your patience.
