Where Every Animal Has A Home!

ALL THESE BABIES HAVE HAPPY ENDINGS!

3-23-07

So the saga has came to an end for Kilo has came to and end!! I would like to thank the lady in Alaska that called about Kilo im not sure how to get ahold of her at this point but I hope this bulletin Reaches her the same way the last one did. If you remember To Hell and Back was helping me I had found kilo and his brother abandoned out in the country left to fend for their selves. Under weight and looked to possibly have been thrown from a moving car kilo was a sad little guy the vet figures he was 15 pounds under weight and really beaten up he has scars all over his body but even tho we will never know what truely happened to Kilo before i found him and his brother that day I can tell you what has happened to him since. I found them both homes due to surgery one of the forever homes could not keep Kilo. So I Called on the assistance of To Hell And Back Pitt Bull Rescue who sent out a bulletin in the hopes of finding Kilo a forever home.In the mean time I got a call from a wonderfull woman in Alsaska who was going to try to get Kilo flown to Alaska to see if he would get along with her family and if not find him a forever home from there.Well surgery day came and we had to make a descision and i was franticly trying to find him a home terrified what may happen to him. I took Kilo into the Humane socity begging them to take my money and please to find him a good home. i would pay for the adoption for a good family. (now you have to understand i have my bully and a bully mix. I tried to get another dog a while ago and my bully has a rare condition where when he gets too excited his throat closes off and he passes out so when introducing him to this new dog there was aggression and my dog started to faint so i never tried again.) The humaine socity said they could not take him and if they did it would be under owner surrender and they could not guarentee his future. I said thanks but no thanks and i left with him. On my way home i called ahead and let every one know i was bringing Kilo home with me and to be ready for what ever may happen. Every one gathered out in my front yard all the dogs getting ready to meet Kilo the timid little all ready beaten guy from the side of the road.Well ok now ill let you all know what happened. i wont keep you in suspense any more lol kidding they loved each other they all loved kilo and he loved them and he really loves my kids. so now i have more dogs then bedrooms but thats ok!! Kilo has found a forever home!!A big four paw thanks for all the help to hell and back!!

Some of you may remember Honey, a dog we rescued from Murray County Animal Control (in Georgia) a few weeks ago. After we pulled her, she came down with kennel cough (which she has been treated for thanks to the generous donations of our MySpace friends!) and then we learned that she was PREGNANT!

Since then, she has recently had SEVEN beautiful babies. :) Thanks so much to everyone who helped rescue her from the shelter by donating & crossposting. Honey is already looking happier & healthier, and hopefully soon she & her babies will be ready to travel to their rescues in the Northeast!

Hurricane has been adopted and after going through hell, he can finally rest and enjoy life with his new family in Arizona!!

~ Hurricane ~ Courtesy Posting

Hurricane was rescued from floods in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He was deemed unadoptable and vicous. A Dog Trainer in Arizona took him and began to make marked progress. Now Hurricane is not only trained but has been trained in Search and Rescue, going through FEMA training and is a bit of a celebrity in Arizona having numerous articles written about him and being on the news quite a few times. His story is remarkable!
He is now up for adoption, and transportation is possible. To learn all about him please paste this link into your browser.http://www.dogonittraining.com/hurricane/index.html

Nash found a home on MySpace! His new mommy is so committed to his care that she has been approved to adopt with FIVE STARS from our board of directors. Happy ending for a little boy who deserved better as a pup -
day of arrival, hardly any fur, mange

day of adoption at his final visit at our vet

Three dogs have found forever homes this week! That is success in our small rescue.

Samson found a wonderful committed home as an only dog where he will be spoiled, loved as an indoor dog, like all giant puppies who drool and shed should!

Kellie Anne found a wonderful family with a senior (boy) German Shepherd... an experienced Mastiff home who knows her needs and is committed to helping her be the best dog she can be. The best news of all is that she is living in Fallbrook, my town, so I'll get to see her about.

Cross your fingers for Gibson whose adopters missed our event yesterday but plan to take him home tomorrow - experienced JRT home for this feisty little terror, hmmmm, hmmmm Terrier~
