Wolf needs help!! please donate!
Wolf on the left needs help.

I don't normally send out donation requests for animals that have already been rescued, but, Brenda is asking for donations to help pay for Wolf (above on the left) to get a needed MRI. She got him when he was only 4 weeks old. Much to young but he needed rescued. Wolf will be 4 years old in Oct. He began having seizures and has been on meds to keep them under control but the Vet feels that he may have a growth causing it and by doing an MRI will give that answer. It costs $2500. If it is a growth, there is hope of it being removed, but it needs to be taken care of soon.
She is not asking anyone to send her money. Instead, if you can help by donating a dollar or 2 or more it can be sent directly to the vet clinic below. We all spend a great deal of time and donations to help rescue these furbabies, and sometimes they still need help with medical issues that pop up. So, if you are able to help, Thank You!! If you cannot, will you please repost. I just hate seeing animals having to suffer because a loving good home is not able to handle such a large medical cost.

Pasture Pet in TROUBLE!

Pasture Pet in TROUBLE! If you guys wanna save old horses:

Then lets support those who provide the tremendous care to keep these horses out of the butcher, baker and candlestick maker and provide the pasture space and labor intense care! Saving horses is no easy task. You can lose everything trying to save these large animals from certain death.

We have a legitimate rescuer who needs help. Now we talk the talk, lets walk the walk. There is no reason to save them if we cant support those who open their pastures, hearts and pocketbooks to the people on the final front line with these animals. If we cant provide these animals with a few dollars each then Equine Rescues will fail.

DIG DEEP and see if you have even a few bucks to help this animal via pay-pal. Renee has been begging for too long now. I know how generous my friends are and trust me I am thankfull! Now lets show some MERCY for this old horse. It's her last chance before being put down!

THIS RESCUE TRIES SO HARD TO KEEP THERE ANIMALS HEALTHY PLEASE DO WHAT YOU CAN TO HELP EVEN 1 DOLLAR WILL HELP JINNY AND FEED THE REST SHE HAS THERE.

ORIGINAL POST   Renee and I were just out back, going to give Jinny a bath, and have found that she is having major problems, worse, than first thought, I myself do not know much about horses, but am learning from being out here at foreverescue...Renee says Jinny may have foundered, she isnt looking good...It is looking like she is going to have to go to the vet, Renee, is just Barely keeping things going here and could use all the help she can get...This sweet old horse deserves any and all breaks she can get, so PLEASE, if you can help, it would be more than appreciated, it would be saving one of the sweetest horses I have ever meet...She is gentle, even in the pain she is in....She can hardly stand up anymore, and she scared the bejeezes out of Renee, as she was the first one back there, and found her jus laying down as if she was dead...she got up but is limping in the front something awful. Please if you can help, visit Foreverescues page, there is a Picture of Jinny, that it is a direct link to PayPal...

~UPDATE~I (Renee) spoke with the vet finally, and he told me to give her some bute, and he will try and make it out in the morning...he told me to call the ferriers and have them out on an emergency call to check her hooves for signs of founder and see if they can possibly do corrective shoing, ALSO if it looks like it may be founder, or they aren't sure, she will have to go in for xrays...(not going to be easy as she is in pain, and probably will NOT want to load on the trailer)....
PLEASE EVERYONE KEEP JINNY IN YOUR PRAYERS THAT SHE WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE IT THROUGH THIS HURDLE....SHE HAS HAD TO DEAL WITH ENOUGH ALREADY, I THINK!

~UPDATE~ Jinny is resting right now, all doped up on bute paste...she and I are waiting imatiently for the ferriers to call back and get her to trim her hooves so they can see what damage has been done, so we can take the proper steps...The vet says that it MAY not be founder/laminitis, she MAY have pulled a muscle in the mud...right now it is wait and see. She is back up on her feet more now since she got her bute...that is a good sign...but still need alot of help with ferrier and vetting bills. My poor Jinny :(

Will keep everyone updated as to her condition...should have some more info tomorrow...ALSO it looks like we are going to have to do MORE blood work to see what else is going on with her...

Thank you EVERYONE for all your help and prayers!!! I love you all, and Jinny appreciates all of your support!

ZEKE JR.

BASED ON A COST BREAKDOWN WE ARE STILL ABOUT 100.00 SHY OF WHAT WE WILL NEED! This includes the money for the follow-up visit! Thanks to all of you who have donated. The guesstamate by the vet. was 300.00 and I want to leave an extra 30.00 for the inevitable misc., unexpected. 230.00 has been donated directly to the vet and also the payment from pay-pal was forwarded to the vet as well. I spoke with my vet. and he said the presence of the cough combined with advanced age mean that he is already exhibiting the signs of congestive heart failure. While the treatment will most likely kill him the best thing we can do now is treat the congestive heart failure and allow him to live out the time he has left as comfortable as possible. This means treatment for congestive heart failure, probably pills and all of the initial vet work to see how advanced it actually is. If this changes I will let you know after he sees the vet. Thanks fro helping the old guy get vetted, and his vet. is one of the best in our state and I assure you I will do what I can to help him lead a happy life however long that may be. Here is the Contact info. if anybody wants to donate to the vet. direct using credit card, (via phone,) or check, (via mail). Or you can donate using pay pal on the link following this update:

Best Friends Veterinary Hospital

(The fund is called Blind Zeke)

Originally, the call went out on Myspace to save this senior dog that was in a high kill shelter in Ohio. Since I have experience with blind dogs, and his chances of adoption were low, I agreed if we could secure transport here I would give him a temporary home and a home for life if necessary. I was hoping for a home but the shelter he was in did not provide any vet services. The only vet work he has had, is a heartworm test, which came back POSITIVE.
I wanna help the dog, now dubbed "Zeke Jr." but, I just do not have the money and need some help. He will be here in 2 days. You guys know I rarely ask for money, but after 5 years rescuing domestic violence animals, my funds are zapped.

CLICK ON ZEKE JR. TO DONATE TO HELP WITH HIS HEARTWORM AND VETTING!

I have ALOT of experience working with blind dogs and teaching voice commands. I'm serious as a heart~worm though! I will need about $200.00 maybe a bit less (with neuter, HW treatment will be substantially more), to get the old man's initial vet work. I'm poor as crap right now. I'll also ask my vet. to give a second oppinion on additional heart worm treatment but he will probably want to do an xray and profile which will cost more if he deems it necessary. The dog is so old he may say to not do it, since agressive treatment might kill the dog. I'll get actual pricing to the dollar if anybody wants to help and you can send payment directly to the vet. he has also not been neutered so if he is physically able, bye bye balls! He is reportedly still humping on humans.
Please note that since my Just Give account has a 45 day waiting period for funds, Foreverescue (River Valley Equine Rescue) will be handling the PayPal donations and sending them straight to the vet via credit card.
You can donate by clicking on the picture of poor old Zeke Jr. (my new beloved son), and it will take you to my page, where u will find ANOTHER picture of him that will take you straight to PayPal!

Thanks!

Baby - female Lab/Boxer mix

April - female Lab/Boxer mix

So here we go with the long list:

There was a misunderstanding about Daisys passing,

 DAISY IS NOT GONE,

DAISY IS STILL ALIVE AND KICKING

AND FIGHTING!! Someone read a bulliton

wrong and thought that it said we'd lost her

when in fact we didn't so apologies for the

mistake on my part and let me correct

my misposting now. DAISY IS STILL ALIVE!!

MISTAKE: (R.I.P. DAISY, SO SORRY, SEE YOU AT THE RAINBOW BRIDGE.)

Daisy is back home from her additional two day stay at ANOTHER veterinary. Sent home with two medications and STILL NO DIAGNOSIS, other than our vet thinks she's younger than 3 (which her shelter paperwork claims) and was severely malnourished as a puppy. She is not in the clear yet, but she is with us - with vet bills beyond our small rescue's budget.

To help us repay this debt to my personal vet, call 760-728-8358 and ask to donate to Daisy's care. They are gracious enough to take donations on our behalf.

MooMoo now Sugar is having her surgery on WEDNESDAY, this poor girl has had postponement after postponement - money tight, other urgent needs (like Daisy) come up and due to the fact that she IS NOT IN PAIN, she gets delayed. Well with our four adoptions - those donations will go directly to her surgery. Her bill will be $1800 for which we have raised, $1429 toward this surgery but MUST HAVE $1000 in the bank on Wednesday morning for the vet to perform her surgery. We are $371 one short, but I REFUSE to delay her surgery again.

Dolly is having a set back... the last 24 hours have brought upon us vomiting and lethargy. She was at the shelter for some time and is on strict crate rest for her shattered pelvis. She is on a wet food diet only at $1 per can, twice a day. Dolly could use a SPONSOR toward her care but is worth each and every penny.

Fluffy, now Nico is the most incredibly sound dog I've ever met (okay, other than he wants to eat Jamie, our kitty!) and he is sick. Pulled from the shelter last week and adjusting well, but we discovered with a small explosion at our adoption event yesterday that there is blood in his stool (not to mention my purse, my car, my sweatshirt.... nothing some laundry soap won't fix!). He was immediately taken from our event and is now on a bland diet with some Immodium for his diarhea. We cannot afford emergency vet care visits unless we are dealing with a dog that is unconscious or near dead. Nico has two DOG-parents but at just $25 a month (which feeds him) we are again SHORT FUNDS for him to see our vet. We will work with holistic remedies and home cooked chicken and rice and see where we find ourselves Monday.

Jill has an adoption pending - this wonderful applicant can not wait to get her girl home into her loving arms. She had to have surgery immediately upon her arrival for a broken (snapped in half) femur and is on cage rest for a shattered pelvis, her surgery was an emergency bill of $1429 for which donors have covered $843 - which is AWESOME. We have paid this bill in full, in order to get our regular vet care accommodated, but would appreciate any amount, SERIOUSLY ONE DOLLAR to repay this debt to keep our rescue afloat and get Nico, Dolly and Daisy the supplements, food and care they need. Donations for Jill can go directly to Pearson-Nespor Animal Hospital at 760-598-2512, Critter Crossings Veterinary Fund.

Mr. Kitsu - who can forget! He wants to play DESPERATELY, but supplements, cage rest and good large breed puppy food are what is in order for this boy. His vet care is also being handled at Fallbrook Animal Hospital at 760-728-8358. He has had his second set of xrays to assess the healing and will be getting his third set of casts tomorrow - can you see how much he hates these things?!

Miss Nina and Mr. Bruno our suffering and under treatment for demodectic mange. Easily cured and we're happy they're here, but the mange is costly, as well as the immune veterinary treatment for system boosting supplements we add to their diet to prevent the Ivermectin (which is killing of the mites) from damaging their kidneys. We take a dual approach using holistic methods as well as traditional recommended vet care. These two could use SPONSORS toward their care.

I'm not the "computer person" of the group, so here's the link to our website page that has links for 'ONE TIME DONATIONS' or '$25 A MONTH SPONSORSHIPS' to become a DOG-parent to a special doggy.

Please – can everyone crosspost again for the Rockdale dogs?

We usually do not pull dogs without sponsorship, because unfortunately, without the "urgency" everyone forgets the "safe" dogs and doesn't contribute to their care. :(

We broke our own rules yesterday by agreeing to the TWO last-minute Rockdale dogs. We didn't have sponsorships for them (we still don't), but we just couldn't leave them there to be gassed. It was a spur-of-the-moment decision because their lives depended on us.

Please crosspost again for sponsorships for these dogs. We're still short by a little more than $500 and we need to get medical care for these sweeties!!

Thanks for your help! :)

Well, we thought the last bulletin we sent out would be the last, but we have MORE news on the Rockdale situation!! :)

First, the shelter will hold over all the dogs for us until tomorrow morning!!! So that gives us a little more time to coordinate a volunteer to pick them up and bring them to the vet for us. :)

Second, there were TWO MORE DOGS dropped off at Rockdale today! We just couldn't bear the thought of leaving them behind when we pull the others, so...... Saving Shelter Pets will be taking them in addition to the other 5!!! =o)

So... the final list of who we are rescuing is as follows:
1. "Davies" the handsome black dog
2. "Russell" the adorable rottie mix
3. "Craig" the 6-month-old black puppy
4. the senior chihuahua (which we still dont' have a picture of – and he still has no name)
5. "Lucy" the pregnant gal
6. a JRT/beagle mix (JUST DUMPED AT THE SHELTER TODAY)
7. a 6-month-old lab mix (JUST DUMPED AT THE SHELTER TODAY)

Thank you so much for caring about the Rockdale dogs!! :)
Please keep checking our MySpace page for more updates on the dogs and the sponsorships raised.

Jamie

Okay, we have yet another - FINAL UPDATE - on these Rockdale County Animal Control dogs.

As you all know, Saving Shelter Pets has been frantically working on finding rescues for these dogs before the gas chamber is turned on at noon today at Rockdale.

We have been blessed with a miracle here!! Up until about 10 minutes ago, we had almost given up hope. It looked as if we were going to lose all but one of the dogs to the awful gas chamber. FORTUNATELY, one of our wonderful receiving rescues has agreed at LITERALLY the last minute to take all remaining dogs!!! =o)

We raised enough money the past few days to cover about 3 dogs, but we will need a little more (sorry - I know you all are probably sick of me begging! I'm truly sorry). I have updated our MySpace page with the new total needed, and how much we've raised so far. These remaining dogs need saved by NOON TODAY --- that's less than a half hour away!!!

Here's an update on all the dogs:

LUCY
Pregnant dog.
Saving Shelter Pets can pull with sponsorship of $500 (to cover extra boarding, vetting fees, etc ...and transport to her rescue in the Northeast)

DAVIES
No one wanted Davies –– the unfortunate fate of being a "black dog" in Georgia. Thankfully, our receiving rescue said they'd take him!!! :) Saving Shelter Pets can pull with sponsorship of $225

CRAIG
Poor pup – only 6 months old – way too young to be losing his life already. Especially in such a horrible way - in the gas chamber. Thankfully, our receiving rescue said they'd take him!!! :) Saving Shelter Pets can pull with sponsorship of $225

RUSSELL
If I haven't mentioned it already, Russell is by far my personal favorite! I've been worried sick about him all week. Thankfully, our receiving rescue said they'd take him!!! :) Saving Shelter Pets can pull with sponsorship of $225

OLD CHIHUAHUA
This poor guy didn't even have enough time to get listed on Petfinder, so we have no picture of him. He belonged to a cancer patient and was surrendered to the shelter. No one even knew he was there until this morning. He's a poor old soul who really wants to get out of the shelter today!! Thankfully, our receiving rescue said they'd take him!!! :) Saving Shelter Pets can pull with sponsorship of $225
SORRY === NO PICTURE OF THIS OLD GUY

STACY
Pulled by local Atlanta rescue. :)

SAMMY
Pulled by local Atlanta rescue. :)

PREGNANT BEAGLE
Pulled by local Atlanta rescue. :)

PEPPER
Adopted locally. :)

NICKIE
Pulled by local Atlanta rescue. :)

CLOEY

Thank you for your suppport and kindness. These dogs need you!

Please repost as we are in need of donations for the continuing medical care, spay and neuters, vaccinations as well as microchips these kiddos are going to get.

They do have Kennel Cough and that is being treated by some antibiotics. The vet is hopeful but two of them do have a little gunk in their lungs so we dont want it to turn into anything else.

So far mom is doing great, she has the KC too but is still being a wonderful mommy and is very loving towards her babies.

Our petfinder will list the puppies tomorrow individually so people can see their personalities and who is who. We will start pre-screeing for adoptions as well so people can take them home when they are old enough. Dont forget that their mother Gaia is for adoption too!

I spoke with the surgeon, Dr. Wright last week and Roxy is scheduled for
surgery on Tuesday, March 13. She has to stay at the animal hospital until Friday,
March 16 for observation to make sure she does not get any infection and that
she is getting along good and they also do some physical therapy with her.
My baby's little leg will be good as new soon :)

So far we have received $720.00 in donations for Roxy's surgery, thank you so
much everyone for your generous donations and for reposting this for Roxy,
you do not know how much we appreciate it and I cannot say thank you enough!!
I am so thankful that there are so many loving and caring people out there!!!!
Here is the update on Roxy: Roxy and I just got back from seeing the orthopedic
specialist on Monday 1/29 morning and she does in fact need surgery, she saw
Dr. Wright at Gasow Veterinary Hospital, he has been a surgeon for 30 years
and he is a very nice doctor, he even sat on the floor with Roxy and gave her a
good scratching. The procedure he performs is called nylon prosthesis to repair
ACL ruptures which is exactly what Roxy has. The surgery would cost about
$2,000 I don't want to have to set up this fund, but I have never had to ask for
donations before, but right now my finances are not so great and I can't afford
to pay for this surgery on my own. I've explored other options to come up with
the funds, but unfortunately, they did not work out to our advantage. Roxy will be
9 years old on April 15 and I never thought anything like this would ever happen to her.
She has always been such a healthy girl, but just running down the stairs after a toy
at home is what caused this. Right away I noticed her limping just after coming back
up the stairs and could tell that she was feeling discomfort. I took Roxy to her vet
and she spent the day there to have x-rays taken. When I picked Roxy up the
doctor showed me the x-rays and where she had hurt her leg and also where the
arthritis has settled in :( Dr. Hutchinson, her doctor, told me it looked as though
she will require surgery and I was hoping and praying that she did not need it, but
Tuesday the orthopedic specialist told me that she does need the surgery to correct
the ACL rupture. Roxy came into my life when I rescued her at 8 weeks from a
backyard breeder known to fight his pitties. From that moment on I always promised
her I would do anything for her. I could not live with myself if she spent the rest of her
years not being able to walk correctly and in pain because of the injury she sustained
and I would do anything in the world for my little Angel, I love her with all of my heart
and she is my best friend in the world. I am respectfully asking you to help me get
my Roxy the surgery she needs to keep her healthy. Anything you can give,
whether it's just a dollar or taking a minute to repost this for Roxy, is so very
much appreciated. Thank you everyone for keeping Roxy in your thoughts,
it means a lot to me :) Melissa & Roxy
