Raising Rabbits has been in the family for over 30 years.
During Erica's 11 years in 4-H several top honors at the local, state and national levels were acheived, Including Top 5 in Youth NMRRC sweepstakes in the Chinchilla Variety for 4 years straight and 1 year was #1. As well as Winning Numerous Grand & Reserve Champion Rabbit Meat Pens at the Local County Fairs, and Numerous Grand Champion Certificates. Once Erica Graduated in 2003, I took over ownership of the rabbits and that's how Haulin' Buns Rabbitry became.
Currently Haulin' Buns is located in Central Texas, I want to thank all the Texas breeders for all their help in getting my rabbitry up and running. Thanks to Sandra Neal & Janis Fossati for allowing me to tag along with them to shows. It's been fun. I have met alot of old friends and some new ones. I also want to thank breeders who have purchased rabbits from me. Best of luck with your new additions. Also Thanks to Sandra she allowed me to expand by offering me extra cages. When I move to Texas I had 32 holes, NOW I have over 70 holes.
Thank you all for all your prayers for my mother while she is going thru Cancer Treatments, it's been a struggle but all is going well. My rabbits have adjusted well being in Texas - What a change from Calif weather. Thanks to my Mom & Larry I have my rabbits in one of their barns, I have taken up 2 box stalls and one whole side of the barn with my rabbits they have a North/South breeze that goes thru the barn most of the time. Breeding has been good. I have lost a few from the heat this year. Now I know what to do for next year live and learn. Now the fall is around the corner another learning curve the COLD & the WIND.
In 2009 the National Mini Rex Show will be in Fort Worth Texas, Hope to see all my rabbit friends there.
Haulin Buns Rabbitry shows and raisies the Breed of Mini Rex in the Varieties of: Black, Broken, Castor, Himi, Red, Sable Point, Sable, Tortoises, White (REW) and what else might pop out of the nest boxes.
