Hastings Quarter Horses is owned and operated by John and Else Hastings. The stables are located near Perth, Ontario. We have been involved with horses for over 40 years. Shady Lane Stables is owned by the Hastings. John and Else also train and show horses for Kow Kash Stables owned by Jim and Thelma Munro. We are now a private stable with a few students that we have coached and hauled to shows for the last few years.
Our present team consists of Stephanie and Whitney Lewis who have been riding with us since 1999. Natasha Struthers who has been riding with us since 2000 and Chelsea and Kyle Major who have joined us in 2006. Taylor McMullin started riding with us in 2007.
Whitney and El Reys Bud won the Novice Showmanship at the AQHA show at Carp on May 29, 2009. They also won the Novice English Equitation and 2nd for the Novice Western Horsemanship.
