A: NO. This is probably the most common question asked by many easily offended people, and the answer you are seeking is NO.
Every episode has its own acronym for the letters. And all of them are shown on lulu.com.
Q: Why does Haru eat so much hotsauce?
A Hotsauce is good.
Q: Why stick figures?
A: $+1<|< £1&u43$ PWN.
Q:What is milkies?
A: Ah, Milkis. The most delicious soda in the world. It's milky looking
and I beleive it's Korean. I found it while browsing an asian food
market one day. It comes in a redbull sized can and tastes tropicalish.
Q:About the inferno in episode four...
A: Hmm. I could swear I wrote "don't ask," but perhaps my hallucinating
insomnia mind is down again, so I will tell you. It is implying that
she is going through hell to get there. Also, if you happen to be
familiar with a band called "Pixies," you will notice that she is
singing a song called "Dig for Fire."
Q: Why does the art style change from time to time?
A: If you're asking this question, then apparently, I have done a sucky job of this... see, the comic is drawn in such a way that it reflects the emotion and psychological makeup of Haru. At most times, Haru is cute and chipper and things are good.
During serious moments, you see the real Haru. In serious moments, you get more realistic artwork and yeah.

Are the characters in HaruOMFG symbolic of real life people?
A: Mhm.

A: Grrr. Okay, fine. As I'm sure you've suspected, yes, Haru is me. It's an affectionate nickname I have had since high school. The mom is really my mom and the imaginary friends are representations of my pets. The stoner kitty is my cat, Yuki. Chikoru is my other cat, Boots, and Tachi WAS my hermit crab until he died on Valentine's day. T_T Tachi will forever live on in HaruOMFG. Chikoru is a lovey thing... not sure what he really is, but he loves everyone. SK (stoner kitty) hates him, though because that's how they are in real life.
SK's sarcastic personality is based on a fellow named Dante who I loved wif all my hart till he dieded. :'( So many deaths T_T
Razz is really a friend of mine- Nicknamed Razz, but really named Raven- whose mommy didn't like me and the ordeal occured.
I can't say anymore about that without giving away the ending, which I am working on right now, after I finish my macaroni.
And the dude in the flashback was once a true luv of mine, despite his Evil father of doom, until he decided it would be more fun to run off with my enemy.
