Harmony Haven is a Non-Profit animal rescue dedicated to the safety and well being of all animals. We decided to open this rescue after visiting a few of the local and not so local humane societies. All the animals were in tiny cages, some laying in their own urine and feces. Their adoption process was horrible, they were more interested in the money issues then in the families wanting to adopt the animals. After leaving these places, we decided to open our doors to ANY animal in need of a warm, safe environment. WE ARE STRICTLY A NO KILL FACILITY
We take in ANY animal in need. Cats, dogs, small rodents, reptiles, fish, farm animals and birds. We are willing to take other animals that are not listed here as well. We take in animals that have a history of aggression, health problems and friendly animals that for any reason cannot stay with their families. All animals are allowed free roam of our 400 acre farm and none are caged other than the obvious. Rodents, birds and reptiles are handled daily, even the aggressive ones. We work with the animals and keep them for a minimum of 2 weeks before they are ready for adoption to give us an idea of their temperament.
We feed them holistic food, shipped from New Hamburg, purchased from TLC pet foods.
