Fang is the animal guide of Avatar Roku. While Aang was in the Spirit World, Roku sent Fang to show Aang where to meet him during the day of the Winter Solstice.

 

Hei Bei

Affiliation: Spirit World

Equipment: N/A

Hei Bei is the spirit of the forest. When a large forest got destroyed, Hei Bei got in an enraged state kidnapping villagers, until Aang tells Hei Bei that there is hope for a new forest. When docile, he is in the form of a panda, but when hostile, he goes to a form as a black and white monster.

 

Koh

Affiliation: Spirit World

Equipment: N/A

Koh is an ancient catarpillarlike spirit who resides in the Spirit World. Koh is known as "The Face Stealer" because if a person shows any facial expression, he/she will have their face taken away by Koh, allowing him to use it.  Koh has helped Aang during the siege of the North Pole by identifying the moon spirit in mortal form.

 

Avatar Kuruk

Affiliation: Northern Water Tribe

Losing the love of his life to Koh, Avatar Kuruk is in a constant search in the spirit world for his lost wife. His wife was taken by Koh through the Spirit Oasis and Kuruk has searched for her ever since.

 

Avatar Kyoshi

Affiliation: Earth Kingdom

Equipment: Metal Fans

Avatar Kyoshi was a great Avatar noted for her strength and courage. She was the longest living Avatar living up to 230 years. It is also known that Kyoshi was responsible for the creation of the Dai Li, the corrupt secret police of Ba Sing Se. She created the Dai Li in an attempt to preserve the culture of Ba Sing Se after a peasant uprising in the kingdom, but her plan eventually fell apart after the Dai Li gained too much power.

 

Avatar Roku

Affiliation: Fire Nation

Avatar Roku was the Avatar before Aang. It is his duty to help Aang throughout his journey by being his mentor. Roku appears before Aang through visions.

 Wan Shi Tong

Wan Shi Tong is the great spirit that created the vast library in the desert. Wan Shi Tong despises mankind because to humans, knowledge is only used to get the better edge on other humans. Aang and his friends however, lie to him in order to find knowledge to destroy the Fire Nation. He attacks Aang and his friends and sinks the library into the sand along with Proffesor Zang, a dedicated professor who commited his life to find Wan Shi Tong's library.

 

Avatar Yangchen

Affiliation: Eastern Air Temple

While Aang was trapped in the spirit world, Yangchen gave Aang advice on his journey. She told Aang that his Avatar State was disrupted, so Aang needs help from his friends to defeat the Fire Lord.
