 PROFILE

You may recognize Hareth Tayem . The 30-year-old has appeared in numerous tv commercials worldwide with the latest campaign for Wrigleys Extra Gum clocking up air time in Dubai Cinemas. He also tempted the UK in a Nescafe TV commercial and AMP ad, for the past 3  years. He has been the face of VW in Japan and Wilkinson Sword’s new 4 Blade tv commercial. Hareth has returned to his ‘motherland’ and is planning to base himself in Dubai UAE for the next few years.

Australia has seen him play the role of Jack in an episode of Channel 7’s new drama Marshall Law opposite Lisa McCune, and a vital guest role in the hit series Love My Way with an all star cast.

There is nothing Hareth has done that has not been recognized and appreciated. Its all started when his final art submission for his high school assignment caught the attention of Supermodel Claudia Schiffer. After all, it’s was a mesmerizing series of images of the blonde beauty herself. Hareth grew up in the western suburbs of Sydney where his dreams were hindered due to his parents religious way of life (muslim). At the ambitious age of 18, Hareth broke family tradition and beliefs by relocating to Vancouver to start his acting career, but life was going to make sure there was more. Whilst working at a Giorgio Armani clothing store, Hareth was approached by not one, but two modeling agencies on the same day to consider representation. Within weeks Hareth landed his first photoshoot. Modeling work moved him to Toronto six months later where he celebrated his surprise 20th birthday party which was organized and attended by Supermodel Helena Christensen and husband actor Norman Reedus.

Next stop was New York, where his agent sponsored him to attend and compete in an International talent search. And he did Australia proud by walking out with five outstanding achievements in various divisions of acting and was then awarded second place out of 500 aspiring actors to commence full time training at The School of Film and Television on a US$3,000 scholarship. Yet another incident was to alter a path so predicted. One of the judges who was responsible for awarding the scholarship was no other but New York based acting manager Margo Mckee who believed Hareth was ready to work and saw the 2 year schooling as a delay in the start of his US career. Hareth at that point decided to return back to Sydney Australia to touch base and recharge to return to his US venture. Within months of arrival back to Sydney, Hareth was contracted to move to Singapore where he continued to leave his face and perfect smile on various advertising campaigns, from Siemens and Virgin Mobile phones to Hugo Boss. On a brief assignment trip to Thailand Hareth caught the eye of a talent scout whilst searching for an actor for the latest telecommunication television campaign for Israel.

Hareth has now fronted 17 TV commercials, 2 TV shows and recently presented for MTV Australia.

Think that Hareth has no time to do anything else? Think again, Hareth launched a clothing label titled ‘Celebrity Uniform’ in Los Angeles last year which consists of tattooed jeans and tee shirts. Currently Dave Navarro, Tommy Lee the Pussycat Dolls have expressed interest in his creations encouraging him to launch www.celebrityuniform.com in Dubai later this year.

Attending A-list parties caught the attention of Blackberry and Myspace to ‘celebrity blog’ about his daily life attracting subscribers from all over the world to tune in and experience the life of one of the first ‘IT’ boys of our time.

His Dubai life is now filled with creating and presenting a show titled ‘I SPY IN DUBAI’ which will take the world on adrenaline filled experience that not even money can buy. His aim is to profile the ‘new-age’ celebrity , those who live like princes and princesses in what is coined as ‘the city of the future’.. Dubai.

Like few home grown talent, Hareth’s being claimed as an Australian, but with his Middle-Eastern roots, he feels right at home here in Dubai.
