Coach Andy Batt
Firstly I will give some brief details about myself. I have been involved in Rugby League for 30 years playing amateur and professional. Since retirement from the game, I have attended and passed a coaching course with The Rugby League Coach Education Programme, and have now begun coaching a team at Harehills Liberal Club. The team is new and the response has been excellent.
Our group formed at the end of summer 2003, The emphasis and focus behind the formation of the team was firstly to encourage young children off the streets, and to give them some purpose away from crime, and secondly to put something back into the game, our aim has excelled it's intention giving local children in the area with an activity, which involves team work, confidence building, development of communication skills and self discipline. With parents and supporters helping each other and regaining a community spirit.
