JEFF'S BIOGRAPHY:

Jeff is the younger one of the two brothers, born and raised in rural North Carolina. The son of a single parent (losing his mother to a brain tumor as a child) and raised on a tobacco farm Jeffs interest for wrestling came early after his hopes of becoming a baseball player was shattered due to a motor cross injury. He attended Union Pines High School; his senior year in 1995 Jeff was offered several art scholarships, for which he did not commit to, as Matt and himself continued to travel North Carolina in search of places to wrestle.
In 1997, Matt Hardy formed his own promotion, OMEGA--Organization of Modern Extreme Grappling Arts (along side Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, Joey Mercury, Christian York, and Krazy K) in which gained a wide range of success throughout the Carolinas. Jeff (with Matt) went on to hold the OMEGA Tag-Titles on three separate occasions.
Jeff was only 16 when he became a jobber for WWE and by 1998 Matt and Jeff had official contracts with the WWE. They were then brought on TV as the Hardy Boyz. Later teamed with former Freebird, Michael Hayes. On June 29, 1999 in Fayetteville North Carolina Matt and Jeff captured their first tag-team titles. Jeff was only 19.
Later in 1999 The Hardyz turned on Hayes and joined Gangrel (after Christian and Edge left the stable) to be dubbed The New Brood, but this didnt last very long.
No Mercy that took place on October 7, 1999 featured Matt and Jeff against Edge and Christian in the first ever tag-team TLC match in the Terri Invitational, the team that could get the $1000 dollars suspended above the ring won that and Terri Runnels personal managerial services. This match was spectacular. Jeff ended up grabbing the moneybag, thus winning the match. Due to both teams spectacular performances this earned them a standing ovation the following night on Raw.

As a team, later accompanied by Lita. Jeff and Matt continued to be successful in the tag-team division with the first ever and a series of inter-gender tag matches, winning the Tag-Team titles on 5 different occasions. On his own Jeff went on to win the Light Heavyweight title, Hardcore Title (twice), and a short reign as Intercontinental Champion defeating HHH!
In 2002 Jeff and Matt had a short feud with The Undertaker (which is probably the last feud they had together as a team). On July 1, 2002 Jeff booked himself in a Ladder Match against Undertaker for the Undisputed Heavyweight Title. Undertaker received a close victory, Hardy nearly escaping with the title, but out of respect Undertaker raised Jeffs hand after the match.
Matt turned heel August of that year, jumping board to Smackdown. Jeff had done well as a singles competitor on Raw. In January of 2003 it appeared as though Hardy was going heel, attacking his opponents after each match and even going as far as attacking Shawn Michaels, but the idea was dropped a month later.
Jeff had begun to battle with his personal life behind the scenes, becoming quickly burnt out on wrestling. He began missing shows, showing up late (which is more than likely why the heel thing was dropped), accidentally falling asleep in his hotel things of that nature. After countless efforts to keep Hardy on the roster WWE management and Hardy finally came to terms on his release from WWE in April 23, 2003. His last storyline with WWE involved a romance with Trish Stratus.

On May 24, 2003 a familiar face returned to OMEGA, Jeff wrestled under his Willow the Whisp character, his first match since being released from WWE. Jeff, in July then ventured to Ring of Honor where he was booed severely by the crowd, but ended up gaining a victory over Joey Matthews.
After being a free agent for more than a year Total Non-Stop Action brought in Hardy on June 23, 2004 as AJ Styles mystery opponent, the matched ended in a not contest due to Kid Kashs interference. On July of that year Dusty Rhodes offered Hardy a contract in which he signed, guaranteeing him a title opportunity against Jeff Jarrett. Hardy then lost at the following pay-per-view. After defeating Monty Brown, Hardy once again gained the opportunity to go against Jarrett in a Ladder match at Victory Road, but was then screwed out of a victory by Scott Hall & Kevin Nash.
Hardy went on to have a nice feud with Raven in 2005, which came to an end at Lockdown in a Table Cage Match, Jeff pulling out the victory. Jeff later gets suspended for not showing up at the Hard Justice PPV, where he was schedule to compete. Jeff returned at the Sacrifice PPV that August during the main event and continued to wrestle for several months. Jeff then again no-showed at Turning Point and was suspended again.

Hardy was not seen on television following the lifting of his suspension. It was believed that they kept Hardy off television, awaiting his contract expiration which ended in late July.
WWE announced on August 4, 2006, that Jeff Hardy had official re-signed with them after a near three year absence. Currently, Hardy is free from his slight drug issue, though he says for which he wasn't addicted.
On August 21, 2006 Jeff makes is return to the WWE, wrestling Edge. This was his first wrestling match with the WWE in three years. Hardy won the match due to a disqualification

On August 28, 2006. Jeff gains a huge upset victory over Randy Orton for the #1 Contender's position for the Intercontinental Championship.
