We have been in the goat business since 2001 and focus entirely on producing meat goats. What started as a hobby for my son, Matthew, has turned into a family thing. Matthew, who turned 14, fall of 05, is the goat operation "farm manager" or at least that is what we tell him. We stopped keeping up with goat papers a couple of years ago, when we decided to take our herd in the meat production direction instead of trying to register everything. We have some good percentage and purebred does & kids for sale, the came in March. Like I said they will not have papers. We keep a good registered buck with our does, this last season we used a registered red boer buck in hopes of adding color. As expected he added a lot color with most of our kids being red or paint. We are currently trying to reduce our herd considerably so most of our does are for sale with kids on them, this would be a good opportunity to buy some ready made families.
