It was a sunny Saturday afternoon and I was busy constructing a half-baked essay. I had lost interest in the article I was attempting to write and I started to pay more attention to my stereo. The particular song in question was “The Hand That Rocks The Cradle”. Not really one of my favourites but I listened all the same. Then I really started to listen. I began to enter Smithdom - an allergic reaction that I often contract on weekends when I have nothing better to do. I analysed every lyric, every yelp and every grunt. I was familiar with all the songs on “The Smiths”. I had listened to this particular album 20 times maybe less maybe more. But I was confident that I had discovered something new. Something that would take complete control and force me to change my weekend activities.
