Waterpolo Results |
| |
Both the mens and womens teams have recorded some impressive results in the run up to BUSA competition. The mens have a strong 100% win rate, with victories over Birmingham and Sheffield Universities, both teams who we lost to last season. The girls started well with a fine display in beating Birmingham, but lost to a good Sheffield side.
This weekend (2nd December 2006) sees the girls travel to Warwick to compete in their BUSA event. Best of luck!
Wednesday the 6th of December has been penciled in as the date for the boys BUSA match.

Land Training |
| |
Talks are on going about the possibility of bringing in a land / core stability training session for both swimming and waterpolo. The sessions would be encouraged for both the male and female teams. The exact day has yet to be decided, but will be once a week for around an hour.
The idea of bringing in such a session, which would be very beneficial to both disciplines, came about a talk between lads Swimming and Waterpolo Captains, Spib and Scouse along with Chairman Ginge. A poll has been set up on the Homepage, and your feedback will be greatly received.
More will be said at training on Wednesday.

Welcome Party |
| |
This will be taking place on Wednesday 11th of October starting at the HUBs at 7.15pm. The theme for the night is Lifeguards, so red shorts, yellow t-shirt and some aviator sunspecs to make you look as good as the Hoff! Don't wear a really good t-shirt as it is bound to get wrote on or you will end up spill a pint of SnakeyB down it!
It would be really good for all Freshers to make it as it will be an ideal time to make some mates and have a good laugh. So put it in your diaries.
For further info contact Social Sec, Lynsey Carveth on lynsey.carveth@student.shu.ac.uk or 07891669797.
A reminder will be said at training earlier on in the day.
The night kicks off at 7.15pm with drinking fines for anyone who turns up after 7.30pm. You have been warned!
