"In the beginning, there was the word".... "In the beginning, there was God." Many phrases were used to previously describe the 'beginning' of it all. Science preaches that there was nothing but a golf ball-sized object, and then a 'big bang' formed matter. None of these mortal hypothises however can begin to come close to what actually happened.
In the beginning, there was Life. The Creator and his children. The Kindered up above..... No. That is not right. 'Up above' did not exist, for at the time, there was no 'below'.
The Lord had his Angels. It was really the picture of perfection. He loved his children, and they loved him. It is said that He loves everyone equally. And that was almost true. Almost. His favoured child was an angel to overshadow all others. He named him 'Son of the Morning'; later to be known as the Morningstar.
The Morningstar's love for his Father spread beyond what many ever believed. He was a wonderous being with so many talents. He carved for his Father the gateway into their realm. It still stands there, and new angels have to pass through it and gaze in awe and wonder as to what amazing creature could have produced it.
One day, however, the Lord proposed his favoured child an idea. He was to create a new world. Full of Life and new creatures. He created a place called 'Eden' on this planet called 'Earth'. It took him six days to fulfil his dream -not counting the day he took to rest.
Inside this Eden, he placed every animal any could ever imagine (and at the time that was everything because none of them previously existed). Then, he created what he called a Man. He created him in His own image and gave this 'Man' a part of Himself. And then did the same to 'Woman'.
The Morningstar -along with many other nameless ones- did not see this as a wonderous thing. God had been telling him about how the Angels would soon answer to Humans, about the new world. His favoured angel suddenly felt something painful and threatening inside of himself. Something an Angel is not supposed to feel.
He was jealous.
He was jealous and afraid. Some said that he just wanted all the power's of God. Others say that he was angered that his grand scheme of eventually controlling the Lord's every move was put to an end. These were pathetic Human beliefs. Many of them were even enforced by ancient workers of the Lord. But that was not the reason.
Nevertheless, the rest of the story is as most know it. The Morningstar rounded up an army of all those jealous, angry, doubting or brave enough. They were going to make their Father hear them.
The Great War raged on for days, weeks, months, millenia... there is no telling really for Time in Paradise does not pass in the same manner as it does on Earth. Finally, most of the Morningstar's army fled their defeat... to Earth, no less, to hide amidst their jealousy.
The Morningstar continued to fight, however, slaying his brother's as he passed. He finally made his way to the Creator's audience and stood before his Father again.
Because of his crimes against the Lord, he fell. The Lord also bestowed upon him a punishment. A punishment to be born by him alone. None quite know what it is...
It was said that then, the Morningstar came to Earth and became known by his surname; Lucifer. Many mortals tell stories and write books about Lucifer's havoc wreaked on Earth, and his home in the underworld.... Hell.
It is not surely known if Lucifer really is the Prince of Lies. Many believe it to be that way for his crimes and for the sudden appearance of Hell at the exact moment of his fall. However, it is known that somewhere in Hell, an army of Demons grows in numbers.
In return to Heaven, the Angels there were to be forever reminded of Lucifer's plight. A monument was erected in the Utopian Center; Lielos Place. The Powers then took it upon themselves to begin a new quest. When previously their work was to abolish all evil on Earth (this now including Demons); Verchiel decided that the greater darkness was held within the sustaining exsitence of fallen angels.
Once he'd begun his crusade, he realised that there were not only fallen angels anymore. There were half-breeds. Nephilim (human-angel), Diresek (demon-angel) and Dractin (demon-human) now roamed the streets of the Creator's world.
That was when the old Alliances fell. The Powers allied themselves with the Arak'laii to destroy the unworthy creatures. The Malakim were distraught. They had been charged with being the Lord's senses on Earth and suddenly found that they did not want their Father to witness the horror wrought by all his creatures.
The only species still neutral are the half-breeds and the Fallen. But soon they too will face the shrill pain of war. Some of their number, will relive old memories. Who will stand with who?
'United we stand, Divided we fall".... We are Half Past Fall.
