Jessie Cave was featured in an interview in the LA Times about her auditioning for Lavender Brown for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.
Q: For your final audition, what scene did you get to act out with Rupert? A: We actually had to improvise for a good 15 or 20 minutes, which is very scary. It’s a really long time. The director, David Yates, was there and he was just like, “Hi. Right. Here’s a plate of biscuits, Jessie. It’s a lovely plate of chocolate biscuits and I want you to do whatever you want with these biscuits.’ Rupert was in the room, sitting on the sofa, and I just thought, ‘What the hell am I going to do with this plate of biscuits?’
Q: What did you end up doing? A: I thought, ‘I’m just going to go for it.’ And I think Rupert was a bit scared, really. The biscuits were past the sofa, away from me so I kind of just tangled myself around Rupert and just made it really obvious that I didn’t really care about the biscuits. I just wanted to be near him. I think he was quite scared.

Upcoming HBP TV Spots
June 21
NBC in the US will air an exclusive preview of Half-Blood Prince during the series premiere of Merlin, Sunday June 21 at 8pm ET.
June 22
For one week starting June 22, Sky, a UK cable provider, will have Half-Blood Prince preview clips and behind-the-scenes footage available to access via the green button on remotes.
June 27
France's TF1 will air a behind the scenes look at Half-Blood Princes on the program Inside at 7 pm June 27. There will be a tour of the set, and interviews with Dan and David Yates. No mention of Emma.
July 4
The Spanish network CANAL+ will air a 42-minute long special on Half-Blood Prince Saturday, July 4. Host Cristina Teva will talk to stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Jessie Cave, Bonnie Wright, Tom Felton, Michael Gambon and director David Yates on the set.
July 11 and 18
The Space channel in Canada will air Beyond the Screen: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, a behind the scenes look at the movie, including interviews with Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Daniel Radcliffe. The program will air in two parts, on Saturday July 11 and Saturday July 18 at 10am ET.

A TEENAGE star of the Harry Potter films has been arrested after cops found a £2,000 cannabis farm in his bedroom.
Drug squad officers swooped on 19-year-old Jamie Waylett — famed as bullying Hogwarts School pupil Vincent Crabbe in the wizard movies — after a tip-off.
Police first stopped him in an Audi car and discovered eight bags of pot inside the vehicle.
Waylett and a pal in the motor, also 19, were held at the scene on suspicion of possession.
Cops then raided the home the actor shares with his mum Theresa, two brothers and a sister — and seized ten mature cannabis plants valued at about £2,000.
The plants were growing under powerful hydroponic lights beside the actor’s DJ decks and a PlayStation.
Waylett was further arrested on suspicion of production of a Class B drug.
The maximum jail term for cannabis production is 14 years. For possession, it is a five-year stretch.
Podgy Waylett, a pal of fellow Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, has appeared in all six blockbuster films.
He will be seen by millions of young fans in the latest offering — Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince — which is out in July.
Officers stopped the Audi in London’s Westminster, believing the occupants were behaving suspiciously.
The cannabis farm was later found at shocked Theresa’s home in Camden.
A police source said: “It was a pretty significant find. We are concerned the drugs in the car were all bagged up and ready to go.
“Work now needs to be done to establish how far down the line we are towards dealing.”
Waylett, who was accused of snorting cocaine in a 2006 newspaper exposé, made no comment as he left home in a hooded jumper last night.
Scotland Yard confirmed two arrests. A spokesman said: “Both men have been bailed until July pending further inquiries and tests on the substances.”
That's sad.
