HADO-BAR FARMS was 'born' in August 1989, when Tom, Judi, and Eric Bigham moved from their 6-acre suburban home in Elyria, Ohio to 18.6 acres of 'God's country' in Nova, Ohio.

Named in honor of Judi's first Australian Shepherd, (ASCA)CH. HADO-BAR JILL, CD, STD-d (ducks), HADO-BAR FARMS has become a premier all-breed stockdog training and event facility, hosting AHBA, AKC, and ASCA events, as well as Introduction To Herding clinics and Specialty events.

HADO-BAR FARMS maintains a 'working' flock of 65-70 sheep (Cheviot, Barbados Blackbelly, Katahdin crossbreds) which have been specifically bred and carefully selected to withstand the physical and psychological stress of almost non-stop training and trialing.

Since 1989, HADO-BAR FARM has offered All-Breed Stockdog Training, Introduction To Herding clinics, multiple-day clinics with 'guest' clinicians, and a venue for AKC, ASCA, and AHBA stockdog events (including National Specialty events). The 65-head flock of hair sheep includes 'school' sheep appropriate for beginner-level training and Test-level competition, as well as sheep suitable for advanced-level training and trial-level competition. There is, also, a small flock of ducks available for training.

HADO-BAR FARM has several fields available for training and events: a 106' x 152' TEST ARENA; the 115' x 250' MIDDLE FIELD; TRINITY DUCK ARENA (72' x 124'); CAPONE FIELD (135' x 250'); a 160' x 250' PRE-TRIAL FIELD; and, a 5-acre PASTURE. In addition, a small (48' x 52'), INDOOR ARENA is available for training in inclement weather. An on-site 'pet shoppe' (HADO-BAR HOLISTIC PET PRODUCTS) doubles as a meeting/lunch room during stockdog events, offering exhibitors, judges, and event spectators a cool (or warm!) place to sit down, enjoy a good meal, and 'visit'.

Judi Bigham, who, with her husband, Tom, owns and operates HADO-BAR FARM, is a Master Herbalist, holds a certificate in Holistic Care For Companion Animals, and is, currently, studying to become a Bach (Flower Essences) Foundation Registered Animal Practitioner. The 'shoppe' stocks items useful to those who come to the farm for training and/or participation in stockdog events, including 'stock sticks', herbal pest repellent, herbal WOUND WASH AND TREATMENT, and the popular PRE- AND POST-VACCINATION KIT.
