Habeas Corpus Canada's First Angel:
is a gentleman in Nova Scotia (Big Dan) who contributed $220.00 to the Legal Support Fund on 11 July 2008.
The $220, which came to $210 clear after Paypal deducted its transfer charge, was immediately used to pay storage fees on boxes of legal research and evidentiary documents ($150.00), and the balance will go to pay for copies of the legal pleadings filed by the Provinces in a major Supreme Court of Canada file on the Special Reference Jurisdiction of the Court in 1910. Thank you very much.

The Angel background photo was taken during renovations in 2007 to the monument of George Etienne Cartier which stands at the foot of Mount Royal on Parc Avenue in Montreal.
I have chosen George Cartier's angel to represent all the angels who stand up for Canada, and in particular those who so generously sponsor the Habeas Corpus Canada Legal Support Fund.
