Raw Deception
Here I am. I'm a single divorced dad. I have a seven year old son who has lived with me most of his young life. I recently started taking my writing seriouly a little two and a half years ago, after I became a stay at home dad. My son has benifited greatly from having me around full time. He has learned from me and I have learn so much from him. And every thing that I do, will always be dedicated to no one but him.
I published my first book, Derrick Sings The Blues 2006 (available here) and that was a huge thrill for me. Before that, I wrote and has articles published the Chicago Defender, a local newspaper here. I have short stories, published and some soon to be published. I have had articles published on parenting. They are very good. I'm in the process of completing my first parenting book. I have written articles for local and national magazines. Also writing more on Derrick Sweat. I love writing fiction, it is so much fun. Hard work, but fun. Other books I'm working on are: America, Derrick Sweat is Pissed, Parenting in the 21st Century, Lisa Rainbow, and Derrick Sweat Falls in Love. Books to published are: Derrick Sweat, Midwest Deep Freeze, and Raw Deception.
I live in Chicago with my son and we both enjoy the beauitful Lake Michigan.

Looking for me
is page where I outline my present and future appearances to promote or talk about my work as an author and a single divorce dad with a young son.
