An Aesthetic Evaluation of a New Compositional Technique Inspired by Leading Principles of Chaos Theory.

This essay is an explanantion and evaluation of a computer
music algorithm superimposing time-altered lines which generates music
prefering supremacy of tone-color to that of pitch. The harmonically static
(excluding tonal reminiscences), superficial activity of simultaneous ostinati
each with respective tempi creates color dependence as well as large-scale
ametrology. The thematic material (identical to the fundamental set) achieves an
unparalleled melody/harmony unity of stringently fixed note order. Transcending
heterogeneity, homogeneity, homophony, polyphony, and monophony, idea
development occurs at a complexity both transparent and opaque. Globally
speaking, the music this algorithm produces exceeds motive/phrase
paradoxicalness achieving its simultaneous obliteration and rebirth.
