"Friends Of Gusserane O' Rahilly's"

As you may be aware, Gusserane O’ Rahilly’s GAA club have recently developed the club-house at their famous grounds at Tom Somers Memorial Park, Gusserane. Such has been the growth of Gaelic Games both at club and county level in recent years that these measures are absolutely necessary if we are to keep up with the changing demands of our youth.

Long gone are the days of togging out under the bushes. Sizeable changing rooms with piping hot showers and a comfortable clubroom are now part and parcel of the facilities of every progressive club. Gusserane GAA club can now boast to have these facilities. Unfortunately, providing such facilities only comes at great cost to the club. The club continually looks for those interested to support its f undraising initiative entitled “Friends of Gusserane O’ Rahillys”. We intend erecting a plaque in the club-house where the names will be recorded of those who wish to make a once-off donation of €125 towards the development fund. It is hoped that with the help of supporters at home and abroad, the burden of this development will be more evenly spread over many shoulders.

Already over 140 supporters have joined the “Friends of Gusserane O’ Rahillys”. The ever-increasing list of names will be visible proof that a club is not about any one individual but about its many varied members both past and present.

Below is a list of the paid up "Friends Of Gusserane O'Rahilly's", each of whom paid a minimum of €125 towards the new building and had their name put up on the plaques on the wall of the hallway in the building. Others gave the money but wanted to stay anonymous.
