Gumby's Drop Shop was created in 1999 by Troy Perry as an internet only side project. The name came from two night clubs in Troy's hometown, Huntington, WV, "Gumby's" and "The Drop Shop". Troy Perry has been a part of the underground music scene for over 10 years, from playing in over a dozen bands over the years to hosting indie music shows at 2 radio stations (WMUL Huntington, WV & WUSO Springfield, Ohio)in the mid/late 90's. The idea for a side project such as Gumby's Drop Shop came when Troy was experimenting in the studio with new sounds and loops. After releasing 2 cd's, "Gumby's Drop Shop" in 2000 & "Superstar75" in 2002, Troy went solo
